yeah. both TPG and MR have good numbers i would say.
Circles.Life or Zero1 their free numbers are totally.....

to be fair, all the while i found the TPG speed and 4G signal strengh are very good, even better than circles life or myrepublic that is on M1. Their only issue is no coverage under the tunnels.

with the 2G + 1Mbps unlimited of the daily quota and speed, 1 day I can easily use 10GB at least from the TPG trial. One month probably I have used 300GB++ on it. This is also the reason why i dun find the 50GB/$10 plan attractive to sign up.

If they remain the same service model as the trial for their actual plan now, take my $$$ which I do not need to even go for MR lite.
actually giga has good numbers too, recently they just released 888x numbers. three 8's in the front of phone numbers, good thing about giga is that you can search for your desired number.

No telco will support mobile data usage of 300GB per month even if customer can pay per GB. This is usage abuse. Many years back Singtel cut off one customer for using about 100GB per month even though he was paying by per GB. And you expect to pay $10 for 300GB per month???

why not? for your info, bolehland rm30 prepaid plan montly not even postpaid plans can enjoy 3Mbps unlimited data. Lion city postpaid plan have limited monthly quota with capped speed at unlimited at only 384kbps to 1Mbps max only. The 300GB talking here is only the amount of data archieved by capped speed 1Mbps. You can figure how much data you can use maximum at a capped speed of 3Mbps. Many of them are offering capped speed unlimited data plan at prepaid with min 3Mbps speed which is more than usable for most for anything the users want to do. Some cap the video streaming to 480p for fair usage but it is fine too. I always prefer this kind of model, as you are paying one fixed price without the need to worry about excess usage and you do not need to worry about no data quota left anytime.

For your info. In taiwan, telcos offer unlimited data with no speed cap at only TWD199 monthly as common plan to users. And the average speed for each telco is much higher than any telco in lion city. Even esim is not even available for most telcos in lion city still.

I dun recall the pay per use limit in the past as last time people can incurr more than few thousands in their monthly bill during 3G time because of no cap. In 4G time lik now all the three telcos have pay per use exceess cost capped at maximum price such as $238 inclusive or GST for starhub. With unlimtied data add-on, 4GB uncapped speed data is capped at 50GB, subsequently 1Mbps speed which is fair enough too.

It is not logical to compare the data usage in the past and now which you are comparing 3G time vs 4G time now. Last time the video streaming quality is probably at 240p, 360p or 480p. Now we are mostly at 720p, 1080p or even 4k. Even the websites content are much more heavy in the past.

TPG has this daily cap of 2GB and unlimited data capped speed of 1Mbps which they offer trial to users for more than 1 year. They have no service issue with this trial plan model for so long. I believe there are many existing users will be like me who love this plan model. I am asking for the same thing that they are offering and not even asking for a new thing. Why not? This model is fair enough to ensure smooth data access for all users already. Not all will really use it at the max given the wifi at home or office or even at public places. Not everyone will be using 300GB per month. Same goes to how a buffet dinner run. Some eatmore and some eat less even it is free to take and all are paying the same price.

While industry are talking about 5G nowadays. Given the 5G speed, the amount of data one can use will be much more higher than now due to the much faster speed. However, we will likely to see telcos offer few GB plan with 5G speed instead of the common 20GB to 80GB monthly plan for the same cost or even higher cost soon due to the higher infra cost on 5G as they need much more base stations than before. It will come back to an chicken and egg question again, even you can have 5G high speed, but you got much lesser data to use than before. What's the point. Same goes to 3G migrate to 4G time. a 12GB base data plan at 3GB becoms 2GB data plan at 4G speed at the start.

I feel the urge to get one and port out. Haha. 8889 then chose my own 4 numbers behind

haha. 8889 indeed not bad.

actually i am quite happy with my current main number which i bought it from m1 last time at $30++ as a chosen number which i used all the way until. It starts with 8xx too, one of the earlier time when 8 beginning number started to offer.

Those numbers I select are mostly for secondary usage like to be used on mifi or iPad soon. Even so, I would still prefer to have nice number than random number on that. Even I dun really use it as my main, purely looking at them also feel nice. haha.

Nobody has incured thousands of dollars in data usage in the past in local context. The thousands of dollars were for OVERSEAS data usage incurred. The old timers will remember this. Like I said, many years ago Singtel cut off one paying customer who used 100 GB per month, even though he is willing to pay, a few hundred dollars but definitely not the thousands of dollars which you said.

Also TPG has cut off the lines of one customer who uses the free sim in baby cam. So there is a limit to how much usage abuse telcos will tolerate without or without the 1Mbps cap, whether 3G or 4G.

No need to compare Taiwan or whichever country network to Singapore. Infrastructure and network capacity are different. No point saying other countries can and why not Singapore. Then why not you put in the infrastructure and network to make it so that Singapore can have unlimited data buffet also?

Just imagine how much would it cost to buy numbers like 8888 8888 or 8888 9999 (or would Telcos even release these numbers for public bidding?)

Telco have to pay premium for such numbers too if I'm not wrong. That's why they charge you to select those premium numbers also mah
