Not sure since when ppl leaving voice mail is charged to the subscriber's mobile minutes. Thought the person will be charged cos he is dialing to listen. Voicemail itself used to be a paid service, doesn't make sense that it is double charging the subscriber.

Posted from PCWX using GM1910

Now Voicemail is free alr, but once the dialer reached Voicemail of the recipient number, both the dialer and recipient will have to have the normal airtime charges even if the dialer never leave any message.

The reason is because Voicemail service is considered successful call forwarding.

U believe s/he is using MR line? Maybe come in here to make noise & talk down MR.

If you have to think this way with your narrow heart also can't help. I believe ppl are geniusely here to learn, ask questions and clear doubts. I dun see particularly anyone is talking down on any Telco.

All MyRepublic plans will come with voicemail and Missed call notification.

There is no monthly recurring fee.*However, outgoing call charges of $0.05 per min apply for voicemail deposit and retrieval. The charge is deductible from the free voice bundle included in your mobile plan (e.g. 1000 mins).

Our voicemail service can store up to 40 voicemail messages.

Simply dial 1334 / +65 8754 1334 / +65 8874 1334 on your mobile to listen to your voicemail now.*

Thank you for sharing this.
Now I know why my mum's Uno plan didn't incurred extra charge. She often get missed out while doing housework sometimes not free to pick up but can also means the caller didn't reached voicemail.

If you are roaming overseas, you can use MyRepublic talk app in ur phone to receive free incoming calls from anywhere in the world (it will deduct from ur free monthly call minutes), or use the app to make a call to singapore for 5c/min, to other countries from 6c/min.

If in singapore, u can also use the app to call overseas, from 6c/min for most countries, eg. usa, Japan, Taiwan to name a few.

If you are currently on other network and want to test water, subscribe to MR and port in later.

Promo for plus 10GB for Pro and $24 plans until 2 June. Lite and Pro plans no more after 3 June

Thinking of Lite but deadline too near to try.

Need to pay for SIM card?

this is the worst part. unwanted 'free' service.

they are using courier service rite? meaning they will pass the SIM card on the spot and get you to show IC or sign upon receipt?

my card is supposed to be delivered between 2pm to 6pm today.
Yup courier service. You show the courier your NRIC and they will pass you the SIM.

actually i would to love to have 29 June delivery date since the extra lines i want to sign are not due to be ported over. :D

maybe i will try to sign up online on the last day of the promo to get the latest date possible.

besides, can anyone confirm what is the last date of the promo? seems to be different sayings so far in this thread.

some said 3 june and some said 4 june?

29 May is on fri which number port take up to 3 working day exclude weekend.

29 jun is on monday so no issue

so 29 Jun delivered, will port successfully on 1 July? (becos of 29, 30 june + 1 july = 3 working day)

actually the line technically should be already activated during the moment of delivery right regardless whether it is ported successfully? so actually which day the line is ported over should not matter rite technically.

i know what the temp number given by the new telco can be used straightaway until the port over over is successful. since the temp number can be used, by rite the service should have activated meaning the account should have been created by then?

All MyRepublic plans will come with voicemail and Missed call notification.

There is no monthly recurring fee.*However, outgoing call charges of $0.05 per min apply for voicemail deposit and retrieval. The charge is deductible from the free voice bundle included in your mobile plan (e.g. 1000 mins).

Our voicemail service can store up to 40 voicemail messages.

Simply dial 1334 / +65 8754 1334 / +65 8874 1334 on your mobile to listen to your voicemail now.*

All bros on MR plan and wanna prevent caller from leaving a voicemail, and since VM cannot be cancel totally. So i chat with MR Customer service and he taught me a "method" to bypass the voicemail.
Below is my chat transcript with him.

Mark: Please be advised that the voicemail cannot be removed but you can activate the answer service message as replacement of the voice mail so that callers cannot leave a message but only hear your recorded message.

Mark: Below are the steps to enable the answer service message - Dial 1334/ +6588741334 -
Press 9 to change settings -
Press 3 to change answer service message -
Then select option to record the answer service message -

IMPT Reminder, it is the *Answer service message* and NOT the "welcoming message"

Hope it helps.
