Yes. This is what I am looking forward to. Even bolehland or Taiwan has similar plans like this already.

that’s mobile broadband - unlimited but with speed cap. All telcos had that previously. however, such plan was only for data usage including sms but not calls.

They should do it the same for normal mobile plan.

Last time m1 got speed limitation.
1mbps
2mbps
4mbps

Haha so far no telco has done that yet. No data cap, but speed limitations. Can come up with different plans

4mbps at $10
10mbps at $15
25mbps at $20

Instead of data cap, they use speed cap.

That's going back to the old mobile broadband days.

Though if 10Mbps unlimited at $15, I don't mind getting it. I can use it for remote access on my iPad (cellular), no need to bring the laptop out already. :s12:

4Mbps is technically enough, but any spikes and it will stutter.

10mbps at $15 many will buy and cancel their fibre Liao. :s13:
I know some people use the TPG as their HOME BB plan. Don't need to pay a single cents.

Anyone can open a company and be a MVNO, just like oya and ZeroMobile. Oops.

Then introduce this tiered plans to market, see how it goes. One of us here go register and set up the company.😃

Most MVNO offers almost the same price same service. Unless MNO going to reduce their Purchase PRICE.

However if u going to start mvno telco, do let me know. Will support u :s13:

Boasting about 4G and 4G+ speed but plan is 1-4mbps? Thanks but no thanks.

One of the other more feasible structuring of the products will be:

(1) 30GB for $30 no speed cap data, 12am to 8am free unlimited data. In this way still 4G+ speed, but hellgate opened after midnight which most people are sleeping or at home using their fibre.

(2) 50GB for $30, there after speed cap of 1-2mbps for unlimited data.

(3) 3Mbps for $30 unlimited data,.

All the above plans with no torrenting and no abuse by continuously using it.

It's an irony that they took TPG trial as home broadband line, and complain that speeds is slow.

Spoilt brats. :s22:

actually giga has good numbers too, recently they just released 888x numbers. three 8's in the front of phone numbers, good thing about giga is that you can search for your desired number.

Awesome, just chose 8889xx88.

Once collect SIM then i port out to TPG lol

I only want option 3. Enough said. Hahaha.

3Mbps can watch YouTube at 720p without buffering and 1080p with buffering. To me it is more than enough. At least this option I can do this anytime not like any other plans.

Point 1: Fair usage policy of 5-10GB per day during 12-8am still need to apply, if not some people will just program their computers to start downloading crap ton of stuff between the time period, easily racking up 500GB per month just for usage during that time.

Point 2: Indirectly such plans exist already, just at a slightly more expensive price. Circles 100GB + Unlimited. Yes it's 0.75Mbps, slower than 1-2Mbps as you said, but it's alr kind of near there.

Point 3: 3Mbps at $30 is kind of expensive at this day and age. I think 5-10Mbps would be more reasonable.

What I would recommend is:

- $75: First 100GB at full priority data speeds, thereafter unlimited but deprioritized (May get full speeds when network is relatively empty, but the customer will get lower priority than everyone else if cell site is busy)

- $60: First 50GB at full speeds, next 50GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $50: First 30GB at full speeds, next 50GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $35: First 30GB at full speeds, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $25: First 15GB at full speeds, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $20: First 15GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $15: Unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

Seriously all these options are redundant.

There should price plans for different speed then at different prices.
All unlimited. Like last time mobile broadband.
What kind of speed one wants, just pay for it.

To users, this is easy, no need to track data usage. Telcos also no need to provide tracking of data usage too.

I doubt they will release such numbers ah, it's golden numbers and they can earn from it. :s13:

Now that you mentioned it might be golden, i just whacked another 8889xx88 number, maybe i can Carousell that golden number lol.

I manually used their number search system to search 8889xx88 all the way from 00 to 99

I got it already. SIM card arriving tomorrow leh

Wah time to take notice in the future. :s13:

I think they won’t do that now because some people can abuse full amount and it’s not economical for them. That’s why slower and slower was the way to go.

Anything 3mbps and above unmetered during 4G era will not be entertained, solely because people will abuse it to the max. You get very good video streaming quality at 2mbps. It is in the interest of telcos to get you to pay more or have limited speed to manage the traffic.

Agree with your points

Point 2: Indirectly such plans exist already, just at a slightly more expensive price. Circles 100GB + Unlimited. Yes it's 0.75Mbps, slower than 1-2Mbps as you said, but it's alr kind of near there.

My idea is more about letting restriction kicks in earlier after 50GB instead of 100GB, but increase cap speed higher which will allow 1080p YouTube streaming.

Point 3: 3Mbps at $30 is kind of expensive at this day and age. I think 5-10Mbps would be more reasonable.

Most will not exceed 3mbps and remember, if no constant abuse, this is as good as an unlimited plan. If you done encoding video, 3mbps is a lot of bandwidth for a video. Instagram is another. So practically you are paying $30 for a 4GB/day, which gives you 4x 45mins 1080p videos, enough to catch all Oppa drama. Of course if you cap it at 10GB a day to prevent abuse by people. M1 and SH already charging $6 for unlimited weekend data (or 8 days worth). 4 times 8 days and $24 is what they are charging but at full speed.

What I would recommend is:

- $75: First 100GB at full priority data speeds, thereafter unlimited but deprioritized (May get full speeds when network is relatively empty, but the customer will get lower priority than everyone else if cell site is busy)

Will not work out, users will be going off instead of allowing telco to sustain that business.

- $60: First 50GB at full speeds, next 50GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $50: First 30GB at full speeds, next 50GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

For marketing purpose, this is hard to sell... consumers are happy to give their money if they see the immediate benefit. You are telling consumers “hey we want to cut you many times.... hahaha...

- $35: First 30GB at full speeds, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $25: First 15GB at full speeds, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

These 2 good plans, I will take the $25 any time.

- $20: First 15GB at up to 10Mbps, then unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

- $15: Unlimited at up to 1.5Mbps

telling users “I am selling a 3G plan” 🤣 For marketing purpose, you gonna lose 80% of the market but gain 20% abusers 🤣 This will happen when 5G is in full stream but at $20 I wouldn’t want to pay for that.
