Wah Starhub giga has upped its 10 buck plan from 5GB to 6GB!

With data rollover, it seems the perfect plan for me to jump to!
Nice, but oh well, it's on Starhub network and no volte and it would have been better if they up the talktime/SMS too.

Din realise until u mention it

If only talktime n sms increase to 300

Yah but I think I can manage it. As far as possible try to use data to call, and keep the talk time for those 3rd parties or those without the apps. But 100sms is really not a problem cos hardly use more than 10 per month on average.

Due to my nature of work, sms still a must. My personal line, i also dun think i need so much

But as compared to CL which only gives 25 sms, that is really too little

Do Myrepublic auto deduct the monthly charge from the credit card provided during sign up?

During sign up, no.

But deduction will be made for delivery and/or deposit if applicable.

The first monthly charge will be deducted 10 days from the start of the billing cycle, it seems.

For example, my billing cycle is 1st of the month, the bill states due date is 10th of the month, and the deduction will be made on the 10th.

You switched your Singtel classic to the $10 plan?

Yah, now on the MR Lite plan, since 1st Aug.

But now looking to switch again to Starhub Giga for next month onwards, mainly to make a point against the deposit thingy. :o

Already wrote Singapore citizen. :s22:

so weird. some got but some didn't? u got any outstanding or overdue bills with previous telcos before? could be credit rating? As a smaller player maybe MR wanna safeguard themselves?

don't get me wrong, i don't like MR also. I tried signing up for them twice as an ISP but then terminated prematurely both times because their customer service sucks and they misrepresented their VPN product to me (second time when i signed up, they suddenly took away their VPN product mid subscription... which defeated the wholee purpose of me signing up)

Nope, no outstanding/overdue bills.

Btw, what's there to safeguard about with a $10 plan? The moment we fall short of paying for the bill, the line would be suspended anyway what. It is not as if we are buying a subsidised phone from them.

I still dun understand the rationale of getting deposit from Singapore citizens. :s22:

Yes I did. But may migrate out by the end of the month liao.

Anyway, my primary objective was to transfer ownership of line, so since that is done, I can migrate liao. :o

Oh why? Like that you are paying $3.21 for MyRepublic SIM delivery and giga $2 SIM delivery. Just to get back deposit? Then can port back to MyRepublic?
