FYI, MR Talk app cannot be used with the 5G plans

I upgraded from 4G plan to 5G plan, the voice app stays and I can use it on 4G / LTE / Wifi (didn't try it on 5G)

Have you tried downloading the app and using it when set to LTE?

If your plan is 5G from the start of subscription and key in your mobile number on the MyRepublic Talk app, the error message is "Not a MyRepublic number! 6581234567"

Hi. My iPhone 14 plus is arriving in the next 10 days, and I subscribed to a 5G plan and getting SIM on Monday afternoon. Can I temporary use this SIM on my iPhone XS till switch to my 5G phone arrives Any voice / data interruption as my current phone is just 4G device at this moment?

it should be compatible to 4g phones ... even though xs is not 5g .. it should use 4g

thats what i mentioned... should work backward compatibility. Anyway you will have the SIM to try when you get it.

Myr 5g is not much better than singtel 4g.. Always have issue switching from 5g to 4g vice versa on my s23

will let you know, how it goes.... if cmi... then can switch to others since no contract tied ^^

Anyone having issue to activate your sim?
I try activating.... when goes to scan NIRC ..... having issue... but manage to scan in
but after that it prompt say need to wait 2 hours to activate.... after this page... it say I have 1 activation need to do..... hmmmm my line still with GOMO still able to work... maybe I just have to wait and see after 2 hours later.... as customer service is no more available now......

maybe until my GOMO is down I can swap my sim card

When on MRT/bus, I have sometimes have this issue. Take abt 30s to a min to switch successful.
If just stay at the same area, then quite ok for me on iphone 13.

Yes but that is for the mobile app feature where GIRO is not available. If we download the GIRO form and fill in the MYR account number, it should be able to be processed right?

Technically it should be possible, but it's weird how MR bothers to specifically separate out payment methods for 4G and 5G. There might be some behind the scenes payment processing arrangement as to why MR doesn't offer GIRO for 5G.

iPhone 12 has no 5G SA, because apple wants you to upgrade.

StarHub has NSA, but only at some places.

since your mobile cannot support 5G, your subscription still can use with 4G speed? all 4G speed are ok?
