Hi,
Did you use triangle away before flashing back to stock?
Did you lose root? and have to re-root after OTA update?

Yes, in order to reset counter(self-experimenting haha), I use TA before going back to stock firmware.

I did not lose root after using TA (I believe you wont lose root).

After the OTA Update, it's up to you to decide whether you want to root it again (or not)... :)

Hope that helps... :)

Too troublesome for me. Guess I'll wait for the new firmware to appear at sammobile and flash that.

Anyone knows if part numbers differ from from telco to telco and retail.

Are the below local retail part numbers or can be telco set?

GT-N7105RWDSIN - White

GT-N7105TADSIN - Grey

What will be the implication and difference in rooting and rom updates, official or otherwise?

rooted my phone without checking that it cannot update OTA, downloaded triangle away and reset flash counter. However, tried going into settings, software update and check for updates, the pop up keeps checking but no results.

not sure if i've completely lost the ability to update OTA, and whether i'm currently on the latest. compared the *#1234# against my colleague's, it's different.

like to check if the following is the latest-
AP: N7105XXALIF
CP: N7105DXALIB
CSC: N7105OLBALIB

thanks!

Facing the similar issue. Think I'll have no choice but to flash stock firmware and restart. Been trying to find ways to get OTA without doing that but can't find any solutions.

that one i found out they label wrongly. should be m1.

Really? Hmm...

The this'll be my steps so far...

XSP -- > Root --> TriangleAway (TA) --> Back to Stock (M1 firmware) --> Factory Reset (so that Status goes back to Normal) --> Use CSC software to change to Singtel (this morning) and updated via OTA --> Root-ed + TA(again)

AP: N7105XXALJ3
cp: N7105DXALJ1
CSC: N7105LBALJ1

So guys,

Since my sim card is Singtel, should I flash to Stock (Singtel firmware via sammobile)? Is there a need to do so?

You sure you're on Stock? I am pretty sure for N7105 singapore sets currently, firmware's either LIJ (out of the box) or LJ3 (after OTA update). Yours is LIF???

Just wondering if it is wise to flash back to stock and pull the OTA from the cache, to see what files changed (especially in modem/baseband), and from there maybe we can get a step closer to porting n7100 roms to n7105.

Anyone has experience doing these?
