N7105 Root and custom rom flashing tutorial (R&D stage)

Hi everybody,
Can any kind soul please post the link to download the "stock rom " for note 2 N7150¿
I'm intending to update the latest software but it states my phone is modified.

I assume you are referring to "stock rom"

This is stock recovery. Best is to flash back to stock odex rom and than do whatever you want from there...

So I flashed cwm recovery used super wipe to wipe the whole internal card, then used odin to flash GT-N7105 Singapore (StarHub) 2012 October Android 4.1.1 N7105XXALJ3 N7105OLBALJ1. It is stuck at the samsung logo.

are you sure cannot find?
just type 7105 and i find 2 versions of firmwares for sg's telcos leh.

seems like I screwed myself over.

Happily flash a custom rom for N7100, read about not having signal and all that. So I thought I could just flash back with Odin to stock rom which is on the first page which I did and right now it's stuck at the samsung logo.


Going into recovery brings up this error.

Any advice on that I should do now?

update :
I did manage to flash CWMRecovery-V6.0.1.9 via Odin, installed N7105ZHALJ4 deodexed Rom V1.1.zip on the phone, installation and went through but no luck, still stuck at the samsung logo.

Did you mess with the Odin settings while flashing? Also why are you posting S3 question in Note 2 thread?

So sorry, i have found it. But i don't know why hotfile is not working, nothing happens after "click to download"?
Anyone experiencing same as me?

I didn't mess around with the ODIN settings, I just took the picture from that thread to show you the error which I'm having. been posting in note 2 discussions on xda only.

I'm still stuck. I've used both front and back usb ports but Odin still doesn't read my phone. It only reads my phone in normal mode but NOT download mode.

Frustrated.

What OS are you running odin in? It might be the mobile drivers not installed properly

After Flashing stock rom thru odin in download mode. Got to Recovery mode and do a Wipe Data & Cache. Reboot

Did u put ur phone in download mode in the first place?

He already said but NOT download mode. Means he got into download mode.

What I would suggest is try on another laptop or another computer if you can get access to one.

what if the user don't know which mode is which mode lol? better to make sure.

could you send me which link to root?

struck in "fireware upgrade encountered as issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".

How to recover? I tried Kies, "Fireware upgrade & initialisation" to recover. Was prompt for model and S/N. Somehow s/n is wrong n ask to re-key???

Anyone can teach me how to restore?
