Just rooted my phone, installed CWM recovery for the sole purpose of adding more apps into the multi-Window app tray.

Added these apps into my multi-Window app tray :

Google+
Whatsapp
Between
OfficeSuite
MxPlayer

Also installed AdAway! :D

nowadays, i seldom go for custom roms already.
last time, due to phones which were poorly built...so end up had to depend on roms which fixed lots of things and gave features that the manufacturer couldn't give.

now, using note 2...i actually don't quite require a custom rom as it might mean i would lose the s-pen integration. on another hand...the stock rom so far so good too.

yes, but for me, I just wanna check out 4.1.2, thats why I flashed.
But for now, I think since it is not a local ROM, there are some parts that needs to find workarounds or live with it till we get a local one

The main issue now is, when we receive incoming calls, there is no +65 in front of the number, and if our Contact's numbers have a +65 stored with the number, it will not recognise it and thus not displaying the contact name/picture

workaround = manually adding the same number to the existing contact as another field, but without +65 in front

But it's shiong, if we have 1000s of contacts to manually edit

Hi guys,

currently I flashed my phone with 4.1.1 but my kies doesn't allow me to update. Can I go to samsung and ask them to like reset my phone to stock rom everything. But what should I tell them?

Once you install cwm , switch off your phone, press vol up, home button and powers button together and wait , then install the zip

need to backup any data/csc? sorry, can't find any guide on installing kernel on perseus thread.

check post 1 steps 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 first.
may not even need to go back to samsung to do update.

btw...4.1.1 is already the latest for sg.
4.1.2 not released for sg yet.

which firmware are you on? or are you trying to update the firmware etc like: from LIJ to LJ5 etc...?

I think I tried to follow TS steps before, but in the end it does not work, I still cannot update on kies..

Currently my baseband version is

N7105DXALJ1

Build number is N7105XXALJ3

how do I get to the original factory one? If this helps, I bought the phone from FEP those resellers. Not from sh/st/m1 or samsung.
