Ai jiak loti mai???? Usually is asked liddat whether wanna eat bread... Mee bao never hear...

you wanna use wrong words like everyone else & still assume it's correct, go ahead.

I'm merely telling you the correct hokkien word. mee bao is mian bao(面包).

loti is a creole word from Sanskrit word roti. that's because hokkienese in SG were largely uneducated & never learnt the full vocabulary of Hokkien.

In India it's called parata. And usually a brekfast dish eaten with dhal (lentils) gravy.

Roti John is not Indian byt local. Same like Mee Goreng. In India noodles are quite rare in the sense not a normal comfort food. Mee Kuah Mee Hoon etc.

And definitely no Indian Rojak in India.

Basi Goreng Paprik also is local one not originate from India.

Prata. India has something called paratha but it has a totally different texture - almost similar to chapati. Only found out about it when I had to be based there for a project. There is a version of it I really like but is hard to find in Singapore called aloo paratha which has potato fillings on the inside.

Anyway Malay culture owes a lot to the Indians who ruled the region. Without the Indians Malays will still be the Orang Asli. You go back far enough lots of Malay culture stems from India. E.g. Indonesia literally means Indian Islands.

Any receipe with beef, surely not originated from India.

99% Hindu Indian from SA, don't eat beef, even u not Hindu, public pressure will cause you not to eat/sell beef food. (example Mcd in india no beef)
