Hi, can I have a rig recommendation? Gaming will be just dota 2 on highest settings and smooth gameplay. Thanks!

Oops, sorry, my bad for not listing out those.

Budget would be $800, no requirements, no need wifi, not using any other applications.

No need monitors and peripherals. Need OS though.

From PC Themes, SLS:

CPU MOBO: MSI H81M-E35 V2 + i3 4130 ~ 249
RAM:KINGSTON PC 12800/1600MHZ DDR3 CL11 VALUE RAM ~ 67
HDD: WESTERN.D 1TB BLUE 64MB SATA3 ~ 77
CASE: C.M N200 USB3.0 MICRO CASE ~61

From Lazada:
GPU: ZOTAC Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 ~ 199
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W 80+ ~ 59
(wait for discounts for further price cuts, Monday 10% off if using MasterCard and use shopback for further rebates)

From reddit (google Microsoftsoftwareswap):
Windows 8.1 Standard ~ 30

Total: $742

mm alternatively, can change to a more robust PSU..? A FSP Aurum Gold 500W/Superflower Leadex 550W, also can be found on Lazada.

If fine with the PSU selection, can step up your storage game and change the HDD to a SSD (Zotac 240 GB SSD, can buy from Lazada, pricing is superb just have to top up another 40 bucks or so) if you don't need the 1TB of storage space.

I'm using gtx 750ti and I won't say I'm able to play dota 2 smoothly at max settings...

Ts want play at highest settings.. And you tried which dota 2? Dota 2 reborn (source 2 engine) need better graphics.
Now Dota 2 all changed to 'reborn' client already. Last I tried still good what?

For normal d2 matches is still okay? If you're talking about the custom games with extreme number of units on map, I think even highest end gpu cannot handle also...

I think you're right. For normal d2 matches a gtx750ti should be good enough. But for dota imba 10 v 10 custom game, might not be good enough.

Like that, do I need to upgrade to at least gtx950?

The price difference quite small, better still if can find 960 at good price..

But really, 750ti can play at high settings, just need off some of the options if not good luck during those huge aoe spell clashes.
