Thanks!
U better check how much will your insurance cost be when u redeem or when u are 80 years old. It will likely be much more expensive than a standard life policy. They will say your investment gains will cover the high cost. I advise u better don't take this risk.

Just think, if any scheme can generate 20% returns a year without much risk, the world can more than double its wealth every 4 years

Hi everyone I have been approached by a GE FA for this ILP. The returns are 20% per annum and it works because they are using a dividend extraction strategy.

anyone heard of this or also bought same plans? So far from the screenshots shared it looks good leh.
The screenshot we need is only the appearance of your female insurance agent. :frown:

1. He suggest 1k/ month but 15 year lock in period.
2. GE wealth advantage 4.
3. Good question. But he has shown dividend returns of even 30% from first year investment with his other client too.
Ok, I’m gonna be simple on ILP.
Basically it is buying unit trust through the insurance company.
The so-called cost averaging works, only if by the time you wanna encash your ILP, unit trust price is at all time high.
So is it worth it? To an extent, yes, if the FA is willing to review your portfolio yearly and adjust the unit trust purchase accordingly. And you are too lazy to religious use an investment app to buy stocks.
As someone who had held an ILP for about 20 years, I am still praying my payout will be more than what I put in over the years.
Else, do some research yourself, use AI such as ChatGPT to help you on your way to invest.

Don't waste time on ILP. That is all.

If they can really deliver 20% pa returns, then they won't remain in the insurance business... They would've fully pivoted to become a private equity fund instead.

What is 20% for sure is the commission your agent gets after you go all in.
