I dont have much knowledge about all these.

But i wondering does manufacturer matters? I realised like for a model of a GPU, there are alot of different brands t and price can differ quite a bit. does it matter?

I think amd card suits u better has higher compute performance. Nvidia have better games experience with driver but amd has more gpu core (stream processors) for calculations.

Brand offer different fans for cooling, output Interface (ports to plug). Power input to over volt and over clock. Hardware components quality. Like Asus direct power to the chip, directcu , or sapphire vapor x cooling using different kind of copper heat pipes

For photoshop, Nvidia cards will offer him more flexibility in the choices of fixed functions he can use as some can only be accelerated with CUDA. OpenCL performance on Maxwell may still not catch up with AMD GCN but they have been since much better compared to their older gen cards. He can also save energy along the way with a more energy-efficient card.

Dun bother with sound card and dac if u not going for good speaker/headphone too.
