need help on a weird issue

You can just go to the bios, and check the power readings. No need to game or get the pc to 80+ degrees, etc.

But you should also rule out high temps like what others suggest.

Should be at the BIOS side.

Most people do not have a problem with this. Perhaps your friend is one of the lucky ones. Quite easy to test, just borrow a PSU.

Think tomshardware tests on 750W P2 are ok for PWR_OK passed.

His friend's PSU is the SuperFlower Leadex 550W platinum, which is the model THW tested.

I believe that your MSI GPU have two 6 pins connector. If you connect the 6 pins cable sharing the load (2 6 pins connector cable). I suggest you use another 6 pin cable to connect to the other GPU 6 pin connector, splitting the load. See if it work.

so just an update, he bought a new psu (superflower leadex 850w gold,750 out of stock at pct) as recommended by his friend, and so far it didn't auto shutdown anymore...

so i have another question which is how to test for a unstable psu? or was the issue really not enough wattage?

well to test of unstable im not sure normal tools can test or not but i still think that u need these few products to consider doing actual real test to test for it.

wa... scared sell carousell also cos if the psu is indeed unstable also very troublesome... somemore he lost the receipt...

sent the psu to tech dynamic at chai chee, told the guy pc auto shutdown when playing games after 20-30 mins, he tested it with a program that looks like 3d mark or something like that i forgot, but ran for 30 mins and no issue came out so no choice we just bring the psu back
