maybe have safety valve for each unit

You mean sprinklers inside hdb??? It's going to cost a lot of money to install, especially those precasting walls, floors and ceilings.

Saw one TikTok Chinese windows supplier, she commented that Singapore still using few generations old windows~ the hinges, alum frame are outdated design and has poor sound proofing~
She said China has evolved several generation windows already with sturdy frame, more advanced hinges and track mechanism and double layer windows with sound proof~

I have to agree with her, HDB windows have not changed since 40 years ago~
the most imortant is have double glazing, too bad sg have none

Wah! So ex. Can last how long? Cannot refill one is it?
this is more a passive version, we cant be at home 24/7 (those who switch on their stuff 24/7 it even more important) so this might help

and cannot refill, last 5 yr

Move to your own bungalow and build 5m tall walls around your property

Because not all flats the gas pipe run from one unit to another, like those super old 3 room flats.

If possible, the gas pipes will run outside the flat and into each unit.
So do u mean in current hdb flats, the gas piping is individually separated for each unit?

Depends on when it was built.

I have lived in flats where the piping runs vertically inside each unit (older flats) regardless of whether the owner wants to use piped gas

and flats where the piping runs vertically up at the corridor and only piped into the unit if the owner wants to pay for piped gas

For the older flats, the utilities provider will request to enter the premise to check if the piped gas is used and what the meter reading is. If the owner did not use the gas, it is just a vertical pipe that runs in the kitchen with a capped / plugged T junction. I do't like this kind of design as there is a risk that the pipe may leak.
