Can I check. Does Asus XD5 work with the Starhub 10gbps plan?

Yes it will work.

1) recomended: Ethernet backhaul
Starhub 10G ONR--> Asus ZenWiFi XD5 main node in AP mode
Starhub 10G ONR --> Asus ZenWiFi XD5 Aimesh node

2) Not recommended: wireless backhaul
Starhub 10G ONR--> Asus ZenWiFi XD5 main node in AP mode -- wireless backhaul -- Asus ZenWiFi XD5 Aimesh node

Hi MR users, I plan to sign up soon (next 2-3 weeks) as my contract is coming up. How's the stability lately? Saw a couple of post on stability issue a month back but so far seems to be quiet (which I assume is a good thing). Bridge mode is a must for me hence MR is the only route :-( Been with VQ for a few years now.
Thanks for sharing your experience!

I was one of the poster with frequent disconnection and unstable connection. I was going to report every down instances but there were just too many of them that I simply disregard it and use SH 1Gbps.

I had use back MR UltraSpeed as main WAN, But with 2.5G/1Gbps ethernet connections. As soon as I connect to TP Link TX401, all hell break loose again--check my previous post, don't want to repeat them. Whether AXE300 or GT-AX6000 as router. Could be TX401 causing all this issue or MR UltraSpeed couldn't deliver above 2.5Gbps realiably in real world. I had gave up, not gonna waste time troubleshoot, just use it as 2.5Gbps WAN with a Sodola 2.5Gbps switch--SFP+ port unuse.

I hope you have a better experience, even at 2.5Gbps@$60, its better value than 1Gbps@~$40/month or 1+1. Of course, if you don't need the bandwidth, save the money and continuse with 1Gbps.

Probably driver issues.

I'm not using tplink NICs, but on my Intel X550, when I enable the Intel Advanced Network Services VLAN drivers, I run into similar bottlenecks that doesn't surface when not using VLAN tagged interfaces.

Possible, or the motherboard PCIe slot just don't like the card. I'm using TUF X570 2nd x16 slot, it support PCIe Gen4 x4 by chipset.

Will not bother with it until I have Asus router with dual 10Gbps ports. Waiting for the BE96U to drop to reasonable price, $1K is over price. I thought AC88U was expensive when I bought it in 2016, now even mid range router costing as much, smh. AXE300 had let me down with the limited feature, TX401 never work properly, will never get any TP Link network product again.

For those using SH, is the Nokia ONR given enough for whole house coverage? Plan to sign up but wonder if I put it in the center of the house is it enough for network coverage for a standard 4rm HDB?

I think can as long as got internet. No need to have Starhub Internet. You can get a xiaomi android TV to let her watch. No problem at all.

Hi Henry, I was referring to the Starhub tv box so my mum can watch the starhub tv packages. So I presume any android box will do as long as it support starhub tv app?

This is definitely a good deal with EPL coupled in it. The price of EPL is just going to rise so locking it down make sense.

Basically you need an official Google Android TV OS devices, like Xiaomi Mi Box S Gen 2 (around S$68 from local Xiaomi store), Chromecast with Google TV, or things like Sony/TCL/etc Android TV.

Do not buy those no brand Android TV boxes based on phone version of Android. Do not buy those expensive boxes with live TV (pirated box).

You can read the first post of the following thread for Android TV Box recommendations.

The following is from Starhub website. I am not sure if @Henry Ng gets better offer from Starhub or not.

1) HomeHub+ UltraSpeed (Asian+) (ONR WiFi) at $87.96 per month
https://www.starhub.com/personal/st...-ultraspeed-asian-onr-wifi---60-discount.html

WiFi 6 router
Premier+ (Premier League), Sports+ TV Pass, Entertainment + TV Pass, Asian+ with Viu
Disney+ Premium , Netflix Premium, 3 months Amazon Prime
Free 24 months TV+ Pro box rental
Digital Voice Service
I'm actually paying more for the HomeHub 1Gbps+fibreTV with lesser channels! Will probably and finally let go of the fibreTV after years, didn't take up the IPTV cause of horror feedback by users.

Thanks for the info Xiaofan. (y)

Just went to sign up with SH for the Homehub bundle. Although can't fully utilise it, but just sign up simply it's cheaper than what i'm paying now. Can add additional nokia mesh router for $3 per month up to 2 units. I added one mesh router in case the ONR unable to provide sufficient wifi coverage.

Current
- Singtel 1Gbps - $40
- Sports+ - $25
- Premier+ - $20
- Netflix Premium - $22

Total: $107 per month

New
- Starhub 10Gbps
- Sports+
- Premier+
- Netflix Premium
- Disney+ Standard
- Entertainment+
- Asian+ with Viu Premium
- TV+ Pro
- Additional Mesh Router ($3 per month)

Total: $90.96 per month

I tried to re-contract with this ultraSpeed, although it clearly stated 1st TV Pro+ free, when I reach the final page, the price of TV Pro+ $15.xx is added to the $87.xx = $103xx. Did I miss something?

Could it be the 1st unit is only free for new sign up? Like to ask other existing SH user recon to ultraspeed. $15xx for 24 month = >$360 is way overprice,
