So after 10yrs, say u need to come back to sg from msia, u will need to pay 10% RPGT tax for any sales profits from your 1mil rm condo, that ish assuming got people wanna buy and u are making profits from the sale after 10yrs.
No profit no need to pay :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Developers always mark up their selling price and give you a discount. So end up most sales won't incur RPGT :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

basically, MM2H is a scheme to clear the stock pile of excess ppty in Msia.

now, China ppl fear most is ppty investment after these few yrs, many China ppty developers gone bankrupt.

many China ppty investors left w 烂尾楼 unfinished ppty yet need to continue to service bank loan and unable to sell.

most ppl want to rent foreign ppty instead of buying.

in Msia, under RPGT for foreigners, even if u buy & hold the ppty for > 6 yrs, u still have to pay 10% RPGT when u sell or when u died, yr children inherit them.

in additional, every yr still have to pay ppty tax, land tax (quit rent) even u don't stay in Msia
Yep. Tying the scheme to prop purchase is a deal breaker for me.

For middleclass prc, dey dun really care abt selling condo after 10yrs, dey r more concerned abt
1. Can I open a restaurant or shop in msia? (Instant money laundering channel)
2. Divesting their assests in China n transfer them out of prc to a place where their money can be stored in usd
3. Very hard for them to operate business in bkk due to visa regulations, basically can only lie flat there

Even locals who buy at 200k go 600k complain losing a fraction of the value at lowyat.

Who will wanna buy a one million condo

I'm not sure if this is 100 percent accurate, but it's from our CNA..

Like I mentioned a few times before, if you want to go for MM2H, go for Sarawak.
Many expats are looking at changing to there.

If you want those backyards to rear some livestock, BBQ, low cost of living.
Somewhere peaceful and more quiet.
Actually you should be going to the lower tier regions of the country.
