No, I'm afraid not -- and that's probably OK since MBH is exchange traded and would incur broker commissions to buy then sell. A comparable (i.e. low volatility) CPFIS(SA)-qualified unit trust purchased via a zero fee platform is the best available approach for "SA shielding."
Hi, can you advise if all unit trust is zero fee at poems? Then why banks still charge 1-2% for unit trusrs?

At least all the CPFIS-qualified ones will be.

The same basic reason you can generally get a lower price on bananas at FairPrice versus Cold Storage.

Haha bankers will argue the bananas at fair price aren't as good as the selection at cold storage

I don't think they'll argue selection, or at least that isn't true. They frequently argue they provide more and better advice. I'm skeptical -- and you should be too -- but that's what they argue.

Zero sales charge. Zero platform fee. Zero switching fee. For any unit trust distributed by POEMS.

Then why banks still charge 1-2% for unit trusrs?

Because they can! If there are people willing to pay more for a commodity like a unit trust, then bankers (being unscrupulous) will surely transfer money from the pocket of the buyer to the bank. Bankers never refuse or reject money.

This proves that the EMH (Efficient Market Hypothesis) is not true. Some people may still be unaware that they can buy no-load unit trusts in Singapore. If the buyer really needs advice, they can get the advice from the banker and buy the unit trust elsewhere. The buyer also needs to be unscrupulous when dealing with financial services representatives.

Anyway, the banker does not care because he/she is a salaried employee. Cannot earn a commission from the sale of the unit trust.

Interesting, I wonder how much trailer fees POEM can charge the funds. Especially since some of the funds like LG All Seasons have relatively low TER of <0.5%.
