Btw, you might wanna try an older version of firefox, latest firefox not that stable. I've been installing this on client machines instead of regular firefox, more stable and no crashes

https://icedragon.comodo.com/ (based on firefox 26. take note during installation to uncheck some boxes under custom installation if you do not want to use their DNS)

Haha it appears that your flash player plugin might be causing some issues with your browsers. You have also mentioned that the hang comes from watching videos. Do note that updating to the latest version is not equivalent to the 'best version' for your com. As for the reason why I asked about the hdmi and dp connection, your audio would also 'hang' together with your display if you are using the hdmi audio as the output as well.

Now your issue might the flash player plugin version/ gpu driver version. Might need you to uninstall those drivers cleanly and reinstall the version prior to the latest ones. I did not ask for your psu as normally for psu problems, your com would shut down suddenly rather than 'hanging there' where you can still see and witness the 'stuck' image and audio lol. Cheers.

okay! i will install the version prior to the latest and monitor it. anyway my audio output is from the cpu itself, not using the hdmi audio. few days back, my vlc player kinda gone haywire too, when its play mkv file, the video hang and the audio gone into a loop. the player was working fine previously though. not sure if my computer is really going crazy. lol new computer also so many issue. anyway, thanks alot for your help!

1) Try plugging your SSD to another SATA port on your motherboard.

2) Use BlueScreen Viewer to determine the cause of the BSOD.

Does your computer still shutdown or freezes at random after you solve your SSD issue?

its just happened like a few hours ago since the SSD issue. for now its just shutdown once by itself. should i change the port and monitor it for sometime?

Well, no harm trying. Can try doing that and monitor your rig for further problems.

Oh and one more thing, if the problem still persists, you may want to consider changing your PSU. You see, I have some concerns about your choice of PSU. You see, CM's budget line of PSUs are known to be not so good and there are actually superior alternatives avaliable when compared to the CM Thunder. Low quality PSUs usually tend to do more than lie about their wattage as they may have crap voltage and ripple regulation which causes your parts to be supplied with a relatively unstable source of electricity which may cause funny things to your rig like random freezes, shutdowns and eventually leading to premature component damage. I was unable to find much reviews (not even the sort that uses improper methodology) about the CM Thunder series which further raises my concerns about the quality of the PSU and in fact, in the face of the avaliability of far superior alternatives in the market, I personally would not recommend the CM Thunder for any build except extremely budget low powered builds like office rigs or Bukit Timah rigs.

If you want a far superior alternative to your CM Thunder and are willing to buy another PSU, I personally recommend the Seasonic S12II 520W non-modular 80+ Bronze PSU which is sold at PC Themes for $85. A 520W PSU is recommended as your rig only consumes approx 300+W and a 500W PSU is more than enough for your needs.

Hi, so sorry for the trouble again. i have changed a new PSU, but its still the same model, cause my friends passed me a brand new one. so the computer was working fine for a weeks or so until today, when i was browsing(open quite a few tabs), and suddenly the firefox hang, i tried to open up task manager, it didnt come out. so i ctrl alt del it, then it takes a few sec before going to a blank scree and then the bluescreen appear! after that the system rebooted and the SSD cannot be detected, it can only be detected after i tried to replug it in. kinda same situation which i faced once. my ssd is crucial mx100. what could be the issue here? ssd or etc? btw, i couldnt use the bluescreenviewer to view the error, it couldnt find any minidump file. sorry for being a newbie. and thanks for the help!

Quick, run CrystalDiskMark and check the condition of your SSD. You may want to get a large external HDD to copy over important files in case things goes south.
