At dat price for gpu, add a bit of top up can get r9 290... u can get 2x4gb rams now and get anothet 2x4gb later.. For samsung evo 250gb, go search for resellers in hwz n vzr marketplace.. find 1 that is selling the lowest and get frm there... i doubt prices will drop soon.

Get the msi z87-g45 and why do 4.1oc when you can push higher?
Try 4.4 on 1.2v or less You want aesthetic, go for at least a h100i. If not drop to a cooler master seidon 120m.
Ram can try axveir for the bling look.

The build is a bit off. From the start till the end of this thread you still chose components that are a bit off.

Certain things are fine. If i were you.

Msi z87 g45 gaming + i5-4670k ~ $499
Gskills ripjaws 1600mhz 2x4gb kit ~ $ 110
WD 2tb green ~ $110
Samsung Evo 250gb ~ $190-$200 (consider buying either from amazon or garage. Some i letting go at a reasonable price)
Msi r9 290 4gb twin frozr ~ $688 with bf4. Can sell to offset your cost between $30-$40
Superflower hx600 600w 80+ gold ~ $108
Fractal design arc midi ~ $129
Corsair h100i ~ $150
Samsung ODD ~ $21

Total ~ $2015

Thanks for the suggestions.
Regarding 290. Im really not comfortable with the heat it gives out... and i've not used an ati card since my xfire meltdown so i'd really rather pay more for a nvidia card.

Im having second thoughts about OCing. I wanted to get familar with it with an 'introductory'config, but im not sure about using it fully OCed or similar.

Im keeping an eye on amazon for my ssd, im still going for a nvidia card, and im trying to decide between B85-G43 + i5-4570 and no liquid cooling or Z87-G45 + i5-4670k + corsair h100i.
Budget isnt the problem here but what im going to do with them is.

Maybe im just a 'abit off' kinda guy XD

Btw thanks again for all the help. Really appreciate it.

If you dont like the heat. Then my suggestion is go for r9 280x. Same performer as the 770. Lesser heat output. Cheaper.

really? i read about that a little but it felt like they were suggesting that it was just not recommended and not unable.
back to the drawing board. sigh

Only Z series board and K series processor is able to O/C. However intel accidentally sent out the non Z series o/c stuff out to boardmakers. Asrock discovered first iirc, however you still need a K series processor only processor oc. Intel is trying to patch up, so who knows when the support for non Z oc will end. get a Z board if even if u trying o/c. ram all this also can support more than 1.6Ghz and overclock.

All the best in your build! do take picture and post when u buy + setting up + setup already :D

Hahaha i will.

I have just decided to give up on OCing. I was mainly curious about it only and felt like trying it out XD

as for ram and ssd if u want u also can look at newegg. just tt you need extra forwarder to ship them over and rma wise is back to the brand itself. Bought my intel 530 during blackfriday amazon and my 2x4gb Sniper ram 1866MHz from newegg during xmas week discount, thou overkill for my H87 performance board. but after discount and forwarding around 90bucks still cheaper than getting a 1600Mhz one here :)

Wah High performance noise rating 35dBA:s22:. Need so high static pressure? izzit better?
i using my AF Noctua without LNA or running at 1500rpm also cant take short nap :X
If u decides to go silent version maybe can try sharkoon shark blades, seems to high pretty nice spec and price.
Noctua FTW if u dun mind the colour haha

wifi PCI-E Card

Can anyone recommend a PCI-E Wifi Card? im reluctant to drill a hole to my new fibre router and i'd rather not waste a usb port for a USB Wifi Adapter ( and the wires... less wire less fuss).

On my new Machine~

im back. update! Pardon my gritty Note 2 Camera Pictures.
Purchased at Best Buy
Self-Assembled
SSD from Amazon

My Hoot from SLS:

My SSD from Amazon :

My Assembled Rig:

no lights D= wish i'd gotten some sigh~

My Desk Setup:

A pretty boring update hahaha.

what i wish i had done:
bought a cpu cooler. h80i or h100i was my choice but i changed my mind at the shop D=
bought some LED stripes. i dint realise how dark the window is even in daylight or fully lit room.

what i dont regret but some might disagree on:
my 780 TF purchase =D i still prefer Nvidia. colour me fanboy hahaha
my Samsung 840 pro SSD. meh it was on offer so~ ;p
my corsair vengeance pro 16GB RAM. =D i was going for 16GB G.Skill RipjawsX but they are blue so~

next project would be speakers. but its not high on my list of to-dos since i doubt i can hear much difference from a high grade 2.1 and a lower grade 2.1. main reason to change is that this sub woofer does an annoying pop when i turn my com on and the speakers emit a static like noise when i adjust the volume on the speakers themselves and i have to adjust it so that i get equal volume from both speakers >.>

B85 Gaming cannot SLI ;p

i dont really like the idea of SLI/Crossfire anyways. if i need more gpu power i rather get a new single card.
