Advice to wait for AMD Zen or Intel Kaby Lake in January 2017....

Hm....i don't mind waiting. I can just put the case in the store first and just throw the ssd in. But just wondering if when Kaby Lake comes out will the price be comparable to current skylake prices or significantly higher?

6700k is 4ghz base clockspeed .... if u use weak cooler (that 212) then maybe cannot break 4.5ghz without going into unsafe temps in the 80-100 d celcius region .... 85+ is unsafe ... 80-85 ppl say get unstable

212 is a basic 120mm class air cooler
for serious OC you need 140mm class dual tower .... like noctua d14 d15s , phanteks tc14pe .... all ok pricing at amazon

Gotten a noctua nh-d15 for $141.00 at xtreme solutions @ sls last Friday.

Cybermind quoted me @ $149.00, but they out of stock. Cybermind new stock coming in again this week, might want to check price again with them again for updated price if interested.

Noctua definitely much quieter than my previous 212x in a define S casing, cool* better too

I too bought the win key from reddit, then activated my windows after 20 days of purchase, still worked like a charm. Initially was skeptical of it, because i bought but havent install and activate the key. However after it worked, definitely will say its good so far.

Please note u need to have at least a 4GB usb for installing windows10 as a bootdrive.

I check that time they didn't ship to singapore, so I thought they never ship here.

Guess I paid the price for being ignorant..

Yeah, get from Amazon with free shipping will be cheaper.

Checked the specs and shld fit. Fractal design r5. Just curious if there's any issue with yr ram clearance? Huge ass coolers have this issue i think.

well if u think u will have issues with ram clearance, just buy those LP instead of those with heatsink/heatfins.

Crucial Ballistix RAMs. Int'l wty pay for RMA US, return shipping is covered.

The heat spreaders on crucial RAMs are thinner. When placed in a chassis, they look better from side view than from the top compared to RAMs from gskill/corsair. Its just the aesthetics. But they're rather low in profile and are less likely to interfere with gigantic CPU air coolers.
