I updated my post to include the word "at idle".
The plan is on my mobile specially for hotspot during daytime only, so quite easy to "monitor".

So based on what you said, 5G consumes more because based on reports that 5G switch to 4G sometimes when 5G is not available, if there is no switch to 4G, 5G consumes less ?

In the simple mind of me, I would think so cos tat would be the default signal not no other to fall back on.

Based on this report , it doesn't drain as much as 5G (https://www.ookla.com/articles/5g-battery-drain)

Battery drains dont relay directly to 4G or 5G specifically. It Drains more when there signals are weak irregardless what mode the phone will "keep on" scanning for signals thus the battery drain.

Another scenario if you have > 2 sim running or esim .. both SIMs are in use scanning for receptions and data

I just recalled that my drain test besides Zym 5G as 2nd SIM, got Simba 5G as 1st SIM.
