Hmm? It's exactly the same as M1's MAXX.

You can also choose not to pay that next month, let it lapse to the base plan. There's a limit though. MAXX has 60 days before they terminate your plan, so just activate the plan with another $10.

But this is the biggest indication that Singtel is using QCI - this plan's data will likely be the lowest priority, QCI9 or even lower. It suggests GOMO would be a higher QCI, probably QCI8.

having to go to a authorized dealer every 30 days for plan renewal is a hassle unless there is one near to your daily routes

Once the app and online top up dealers (such as shopee) works then it will be worthwhile considering

I could be wrong, but M1 MAXX plan does not require user to topup, just use at least once every 90 days. But if they removed the base plan promo, it will be $5 every month to renew.

But Heya is every 60 days renewed without needing to pay. But if promo is changed, it is $3 every 60 days.

Yep. Different base implementation but I think it'll eventually work out to be the same. The free plan promo is just to entice users onboard, but they signal that they will eventually charge.

Heya is closer to the prepaid card model we're familiar with, have to keep "renewing" within their window - in this case 60 days - to maintain the line. MAXX gives some data, SMS and talktime so it's conceptually closer to circles Flexi $0 plan that we have to use to maintain.

I viewed it more as a base plan to keep a number, and then pay something like $10 to have something decent to use. I seem to recall seeing this kind of business model overseas in 3rd world countries.

no roaming service is a killer.
no point to save the $8 for this unless u never travel.

The trouble of renewing is also a killer.
Even before covid, i only travel once a year or less, buy their country prepaid data card.

Nobody called me anyway even in sg, uses whatapp more, dun even do otp sms in other countries

IMHO.
This is actually what I am looking for but the authorized dealers are a bit out of the way for me.
My residence have very good connectivity with Singtel but not TPG and M1.
I hope after a while they will have an app running for registration and renewal.

I see it as Singtel trying to balance with the their postpaid, prepaid and MVNOs.
I see Heya.sg as a means to compete against TPG.

It is good to have more options.

TPG is a Swiss knife, competing against ST/SH/M1 (MNO) VoLTE and roaming services, Gomo/Giga/MR/CL/ZYM/Zero1 (MVNO) with their IDD.

apart from being poor at basement, I think TPG can now be my main SIM.

I use TPG as my main SIM. My usual places, TPG cannot be my main SIM. 🤣
Lucky now don't have TT - scanning Safe Entry and have poor or no coverage.
I think in recently, TPG increase the bandwidth in some places I frequent.

Also, when I am downloading Netflix, TPG seems slower though the bandwidth is there. Have to do more testing.

My roaming in JB is quite ok, no major issue and similar to my XOX prepaid eSIM on my other phone.

it is on Celcom same as XOX prepaid.

I haven’t go around in SG extensively, but on NS line quite ok from Raffles Place to Bishan.

So to maintain the base plan, one must always buy the addon otherwise the base plan will expire even though we use it?

So it is not like the M1 Maxx?
