Today did the first step

myrepublic port out to heya SIM card.

now I put the heya SIM card in iphone but cannot connect data.

Seperately MyRepublic sim Card phone receive sms saying singtel will carry out porting on 1st Nov.

so when will my heya SIM card activate and can start use data ? should I wait until 1st nov then only SIM card can start to use ?

As a reference for my cases.

ZYM to Simba = overnight on the day I purchased the SIMBA card.

Simba to Heya = overnight on the day I purchased the Heya card.

All my other portings between other providers were all happening overnight on the very day.

So I must put the SIM card on one of spare phone so it will activate as the porting happens ?

Just slot in your Heya card on the other spare phone and wait to see if your Heya line gets activated later at around 2-230am.

I suggest you reboot your spare phone when you start seeing the data bars in the Heya.

Sometimes, one needs to reboot the phone in order to "waken up" a new line.

I did that when porting from SIMBA to Heya to get the Heya conedtion after rebooting the phone else I would had keep waiting for nothing and wasted my time.

Just off and on the Aeroplane mode may not work at times. So, just reboot.

If convert singtel prepaid to singtel postpaid then confirm cannot port to heya right.

so was thinking port to StarHub star plan and then port out to heya

Walk into any SIMBA dealer to let them know you want to port-in prepaid to Postpaid.

Then 30 days later port to heya.

i am a frequent traveller to Taiwan,Dubai and Europe. how to get OTP sms when using credit cards there. I never had issues with StarHub SIM card . Or I guess there are provisions on all ibanking and credit cards to receive otp through emails instead of sms.

I am now considering to migrate to heya After doing it for my family members.

However, if it is true that the roaming data is for the 3 countries only. Then, it's only logical that OTP from Singapore can be received in these 3 countries only! Not Taiwan, Dubai and Europe or anywhere else on earth except the that 3 countries!

Prior to free roaming data offered by Heya, OTP is already receivable if one is overseas, just that no roaming call and outgoing sms available. So I think incoming SMS in overseas could be a goodwill free service as long as your SIM can detect network but need to try out oneself.

IMHO.
In the app, TOP-UP / GET / PAY .... u can choose enets or credit card.

Could I suggest changed to Heya Porter instead, it could mean Ported to Heya.

Or in future in case there are better deals especially in the fast changing lane of mobile world, you will be Heya Porter to another operator?
