Hi guys,

I ported in on 24th Dec 2024.

Only realized today - cannot call out neither can receive calls.

(When I use main line to call Heya line, system message says phone is engaged).

When I try call out, it immediately close the call.

SMS and Mobile data no issue using.

Any idea? I will live chat Heya in the day.

Thanks.

IMHO.
I have a 4G phone WITHOUT VoLTE that behaves similar - non-HEYA but Singtel network.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3. 4G VoLte capable phone.
Some Xiaomi phone Volte may be disable though it support.

You only need to do this if you don't have the option to enable VoLTE and Wi-Fi calls.

Disable VoLTE check: *#*#86583#*#*
Disable VoWiFi check: *#*#869434#*#*

Once you have disabled the checks, you can then go into the respective SIM card settings and then enable VoLTE and Wi-Fi calls (if you want to use Wi-Fi calling).

I can enable VOLTE in the Sim card settings. So I still need to enter this code? (currently it's enabled)

VoLTE = * # * # 86583 # * # *

In simba, they advice all poco/xiaomi user to do this compulsory step and reboot if you subscribe plan at their service centre. No hurt trying

Maybe heya/Singtel has discontinued support for your model. If you have friends on Starhub/MVNO or Simba try plugging in their Sim cards see if it works, then can probably port out liao.

ST probably discontinued support (it's a 2018 phone). SH probably also dropped support.
best bet is probably Simba or MR (both using their VOIP apps). or buy newer phone.

Is there any cost reasons behind dropping support for these older phones, in terms of maintenance etc? I would think that losing customers' subscription cost more than them continue supporting these older phones though.

i would love to know this too.....

it's also the issue of perfectly useable phones being turned into e-waste.
(from this point of view, i can understand, but not necessarily agree with, the telco's position. by dropping support, they force you to buy a new phone, in addition to "nudging" you to upgrade to a 5G plan, which may or may not be necessary. all the better to squeeze more revenue from subscribers)

Try your Sim card with your family or friend phone. If it work, it time to change your phone. Also try reply by @eddy0505. Then evaluate yourselves, get a new mobile or port out.
I have your same issue when 3G closure, after change new sim card with Starhub due to obsolete sim card not supporting volte, to and for with their cso for one month then solve the problem. Not sure mvno customer service, if you want to approach heya cso as this maybe their network configuration issue
