My MBP has been missing since it left the warehouse yesterday. No updates from DHL at all. This is so weird. Usually DHL quite prompt at reporting progress.

Tuesday, November, 29, 2016 Location Time Remarks
1 Shipment picked up SHANGHAI - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC 16:49
2 Processed SHANGHAI - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC 19:34
3 Departed from facility SHANGHAI - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC 19:36

Anyone in the same predicament as me?

My guess is that it's still early based on the latest Apple/DHL estimated delivery date?

Sometimes I suspect DHL has a "go slow" service based on their arrangement with the sender.

Anyone knows what is the default sleep / standby behaviour for new MBP?

If i leave my laptop closed / untouched for 10 hours, it seems to default to Standby mode. I will have to plug in or long press the power button to wake it up... And waking up takes abt 40 seconds.

However, if i just close laptop for a short period (say 30 min), opening is instant.

Mine powers up the moment I open the lid, once I close it, it sleeps. I open it again, it wakes up.

I can't find the power button though. 15" TB model.

the Touch ID is also a power button.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016) and MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports): The power button is adjacent to the Touch Bar and integrated with the Touch ID sensor. Press Touch ID (power button) to turn on your Mac.

Yup my 15" TB, the power button is the touch ID. just press it hard.

I realised what is the issue.

There are 3 different kind of sleep modes:

SLEEP
STANDBY
AUTOPOWER OFF

The default settings are:
standbydelay 10800
standby 1
halfdim 1
hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
powernap 0
gpuswitch 2
disksleep 10
sleep 1 (sleep prevented by Google Chrome)
autopoweroffdelay 28800
hibernatemode 3
autopoweroff 1
ttyskeepawake 1
displaysleep 2
acwake 0
lidwake 1

Anyway, I figured it out.

Close lid = sleep = instant wake up when open lid
After 3 hours, it becomes standby mode = a bit longer to wake up when open lid, but still quite fast
After 8 hours, it will auto power off (but the full computer state is stored in the SSD) = need to press power button to wake up. After pressing power button, u will see the mac symbol + loading indicator (take abt 15 seconds).

The cool thing is, for the autpower off, there is zero battery drain. I left my mac abt 14 hours and 100% still. I think it can last a week at least in this state (all my apps state all intact)
