Try the method mention on post #5 here : Singtel Fibre [ONT's PON Light continuously

The PON light should appear solid green
If the PON light is still flashing or LOS light is still flashing red, please call Singtel Customer Care Hotline at 1688 and ask for assistance.

Called 1688, after 30 min if troubleshooting, I was told to do a one to one exchange at Nex or Orchard.

I replaced the yellow cable and it is still flashing, so I Guess the onr died likely

That is bad.
For Starhub, they send down a technician to troubleshoot and replace my ONT promptly.

Hi mates. Suddenly my router do not access to the Internet and hence I tried many times to restore my asus ac88u to factory and set as either wireless router or AP to my newly replaced ONR from singtel but still do not have any Internet connection

Singtel had reset my port but still the same. Does anyone has any solution for this?

Just connect a laptop to the ONR with Ethernet cable to see if you get Internet or not, if you get internet access, then the ONR is good and indeed run in the ONR mode.

In that case, your RT-AC88U is the problem.

If your laptop does not get internet, call SingTel again to check if they install the ONR properly or not. If you install the ONR by yourself, check your ONR Fibre connection.

To update my case, there was nothing wrong with my ont, but the netlink port spoilt, I believe due to my wife pulling in the fiber cable forcefully

Singtel engineer came and repair it for free

Change what? You want to change from ONT to ONR? Most of the forum users here are in the following three cases.

1) Using ONT and no request of change
2) Using ONR and no request of change
3) Using ONR and want to change to ONT, usually because of the desire to use own more powerful router in router mode and not AP mode, and do not want to have double NAT.

Nobody wants to change ONT to ONR.

Why do you want to change to ONR? Are you using SingTel issued free (and in general lousy) router?

I tried asking Singtel to change my ONR to ONT, but not successful.

Usually you will not be able to achieve that, unless you have very good convincing power, or you have good convimcing power plus SingTel TV subscription.

I have the ST ONR HG8244H. I'm trying to reduce the size of my DHCP pool, but when I try that, I keep getting the error "The address pool does not allow configuration of a new routing policy. You are advised to enlarge the address pool scale."

Any idea why?

Its just some setting which Singtel don't want you to play with.

Its for mainstream user not for power user like yourself.

I've been using the Singtel Huawei ONR for a few months now in Router mode. I would now like to change it to Bridge mode so that I can use my own router on Port 1, and connect my mioTV set-top boxes to Ports 2, 3 and 4.

Can I do this change myself using the "Mode Switching" tab on the admin page? Or must I also call Singtel for them to make the change on their end?

Additionally, on the same "Mode Switching" tab, there is also a Hybrid mode. Anyone knows what this mode does? The description given below is not very clear.

On this page, you can set the device working mode to bridge, routing or hybrid. When hybrid mode selected, you can config LAN ports as Layer 3 ports by selecting the corresponding check boxes. The Layer 3 ports will be assigned as HG ports.

I know some bros here managed to get the ONR to work in Bridge mode with Port 1 for Internet (connected to 3rd party router), and Ports 2, 3 and 4 for IPTV. Anyone can advise how to do that?

I tried following the instructions here, but my router couldn't get an IP address.

What 3rd party are you using? Got any specific reason to use it like server or what? I also had trouble connecting to 3rd party(asus) and have iptv work at the same time. Gave up and just went with double nat. I left my 3rd party on dmz from hg8244h and I am able to connect to my router from outside still. iptv is connected to onr.
