Fawang..jury still out. When he fought The greats; it wasn't very obvious he's better. Not like at end of 射雕, the sot sot ouyang feng was clear winner.

Personal opinion aft reading the latest revised versions la; jinyong didn't want to say who's better. All ard the same..ZBT slightly better. But if really want to have clear winner; it will jus end up like Ouyang vs Qigong.

Actually OFY got the potential be the strongest in 五絕 in 射雕 Era.
Before Wang Zhong Yang die, he was aware of OFY evil character and his wu gong talent, that is why before WZY die, WZY went to learn Yi yang zhi, fake his death to break OYF's 蛤蟆功, which force OYF to retrain his 蛤蟆功 more than a decade not because of that incident, OYF will not waste so many years retrain his skill, he would already surpass rest of the 五絕.

Last time in secondary school, one of my classmates after reading all the jinyong novels, his 'O' level Chinese got A1, but other subjects not so good though.

I borrowed his 射雕 novel to read, "O" level improved to B3, prelim is C5 though.

I actually watch Jin Yong drama for my chinese to improve to B3. I didn't read the novel though, just attracted to the drama.....

First one I watch should be the one by Julian Cheung and Athena Chu. Sheng Diao is Li Ruo Tong and Louis Koo version...

Yes. I wonder Who created 降龙十八掌？why the monk didn't pass on his 北冥神功？duan yu was quite imba but his descendants not as strong as him leh.

yes.. each of the big 4 all got that own signature skill

but the others didn't invent their own skills right...? qigong and yideng got their skills from ancestors... i not sure about huang yaoshi... but this makes ouyang feng more talented than them... that he could invent own skill... just like yang guo too... and even zhou botong invent the 2 hand skill...

北冥 too powerful if misuse. And 六脈 needs lots of inner strength (which only Duan Yu has). Teach also no one can learn successfully.

At least he give me the impression that he really wanna kill wangyan honglie for now. His betrayal to the darkside later is gonna be so delicious!! Kudos man, really good cast.
