1080 is 20-30% faster than T-X and now you tell us Pascal T-X is only less than 10% faster than T-X :s22: :s22:

Sent from Huawei NEXUS 6P using GAGT

Stock 1080 base clock @ 1607MHz, Boost @ 1733MHz @ 2560 CUDA cores.

New Titan X base clock @ 1417MHz, Boost @ 1531MHz @ 3584 CUDA cores.

I got pretty good feeling that the new Titan X can do 1.7+GHz easily ..... if citing the stock 1080 TDP is only 180W and able to OC close to 2GHz and Titan X is the usual TDP of 250W maybe due to the 16nm FinFET process.

But the stock cooler is a joke again :( Paging for EVGA to come out the ACX3.0 cooler ;) :)

OCed TX vs stock Pascal TX. That is the differences haha.

IIRC, OCed TX is faster than stock 1080.

Anyway its sound ridiculous but its really quite the case, once you match the clock its all same except pascal TX has 512 more cores lol. That is why I am very interested to see a test comparison for TX OCed max vs stock pascal TX.

Either way I am not saying how bad this new TX is, its terrifying fast and its simply a titan. A titan means you throw perf-per-dollar out of the window. So no need say much here.

Inflation is also nothing surprising now cos we see Intel jumping +70% straight to the gun with 6950X. Suddenly it kinda hit me PC HW has shifted into a new era, a hobby that has changed into something similar to car hobby where premium is simply expected and norm.

I no longer will rant like I used to do, but just slowly accept the new era of PC HW community.

Lol you heng for what?

For the price you can hoot 1080 SLI and enjoy even more aggressive performance.

$1200 USD is just the surface price, this thing need waterblock to survive the insane heat and that will add more to your already expensive cost. The fact that it wont come with AiB option means you are restricted to their cui cooler, which can barely survive the punishment from 1080 lol.

What make me think twice is not just the price of this card, its the fact I need to go custom loop (if I want to have a quiet rig) which I am against lol.

Maybe that pair of FTW 1080 might seem more attractive. :s13:

You are saying like TX SLI is free.

Not everyone like you can throw money on something that can get obsolete easily. And throw this much without a bat of an eye. ;)

It's pretty obvious if it's a 2 slot standard card then it will go into the core, No?

Not sure and that's why I'm asking. From my checking below those GTX1080 cards by ASUS, MSI can go into the Razer Core but not PALIT because its thicker. So are the GTX1080 cards from ASUS, MSI etc considered as 2 slot width type?

MSI FE = 269 x 111 x 40 (VR ready)
MSI Gaming X 8G = 279 x 140 x 42 (great for 4K, VR ready)
MSI Armor 8G OC = 279 x 140 x 37 (great for 4K, VR ready)
MSI Aero 8G = 269 x 111 x 35 (great for 4K, VR ready)

ASUS FE = 266.7 x 111.2 x 38.1
ASUS ROG Strix O8G Gaming = 298 x 134 x 40 (VR friendly)

PALIT GameRock Premium Edition = 285 x 133 x 58 (VR ready)
PALIT Super JetStream = 285 x 133 x 2.5 slots (VR ready)
PALIT FE = 267 x 112 x 2-slot (VR ready)

PALIT Super JetStream = 285 x 133 x 2.5 slots (VR ready)
PALIT FE = 267 x 112 x 2-slot (VR ready)

Titan X is using reference card. Reference card = 1 size regardless of brand.

Palit Super jetstream is using aftermarket cooler.

As mentioned b4, no non reference titan x announced. Only reference design.

I want to know what is the thickness in mm for the 2-slot TITAN X card. Do you know?
