New to DIY PC

Planning to build a PC from scratch on my own, would greatly appreciate any help/advice given on some of my questions.

1. GPU

I know that are few brands out there and many of their different model. I would like to know what are the difference between each brand and models?

E.g. ASUS GTX 1060, they have the Dual, DCU II and Strix (according to PC Theme price list). From what I know, the difference is the clock speed and the type of fans being used.

From the price list, Strix edition is the most expensive type. I would like to know what would I be compromising on if I'm on a budget and decided to get a normal one.

Lastly...AMD or Nvidia

2. CPU Cooler

I probably would not be doing any overclocking, so would a stock cooler suffice?

3. RAM

For RAM, I would like to know how much does the RAM speed matters?

4. Power Supply / Storage

About the same questions I have on the GPU, different brands out there, would a cheaper brand be less reliable or prone to fail compared to a higher priced brand.

More expensive is the aesthetics, cooling capability as well as the components used for stability.

2. CPU Cooler

stock will suffice or if you got extra budget, can get Cryorig.

3. RAM

For normal usage and typical consumers will not be able to feel the difference.

this one, the best is use a reliable power supply as non-reliable ones will bring your entire system down with it. Its like our heart. Don save on that. For storage, there is lots of brands, again depends on user luck.

More exp means same thing clocked faster. Usually not much more benefit (1-5%)

By right yes, but ultimately do google reviews for the model to make sure the card is nothing funky.

Yes, would need to buy monitor...

Resolution probably 1080p? Settings I won't require ultra, probably medium/high would do

The budget --> $1K is slightly stretched.

You can get normal RAMs instead. Cheaper. Just use the stock CPU cooler will do for your case.

Get a Zotac graphics card. Maybe a GTX 1060 will do. If worse comes to worst, you need to get a GTX 1050 to ensure that your budget don't burst.

Find the cheapest motherboard to couple with your CPU.

Get a HDD (Partition it) and don't get a SSD.

PSU... You just find a 600W or 550W one. Any brand will do for your case. Just get the cheapest.

Casing? You recycle your old casing?
