sorry to dig this up but yay, just got my trading account with SCB. First I opened an online e$aver account, thru which I applied for the trading account. Need to do online CAR also, I dun have trading experience but I just listed 6 stocks/indices that I'm interested. After some admin/paper work, my trading account is set up and activated. Srly no one from SCB cares if I really traded those 6 stocks that I declared haha. #justsharing

Chill out. Everyone was an amateur once, isn't it? I must applaud you for being honest and having the mindset to re-enter the market. The first essential factor is to get yourself accustom to the Market by being confident (not overly) to face your fears.
