Outspoken, at least she has higher EQ than the TPL on answer question on her greatest regret and netizen voices :s13:

yes its quite obvious, TPL comes across as thinking "what am i supposed to to say"* b4 she answers
wherease NS justs say it.

* Consequently, her answer is "IDK-WTS"

She playbacks in front of the mirror, trying to improve on her emotions and pronounciation in fear of getting another backlash. But that is what I feel she failed to grasp the whole problem.

People want someone who can be there to listen to them, hear their problems, help them out. Not someone who prepares the problems, present it to them, give them time to script a best answer.

Every problem is dynamic. It can come from anywhere any form. Can she be prepared for such questions? She can't if she got no experience.

Nicole Seah although at 24, but can see she's quite actively involved in community work since her school days even before she starts JC I believe. That gives her probably a 7-8 years experience.
How she present herself in the interview was what she has done. Someone who hasn't done that would never be able to face the press that well.

The journalists were preparing the questions in a fast and fearful manner trying to "trap" her. "What was your biggest regret in life?" "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"

These are the kind of questions journalists will not dare to summon their courage to pose to PAP's Tin Pei Ling.

The good thing is Nicole answered those questions very well. And I think the journalists were left impressed.

They did ask TPL those questions first. TPL's answer was: Greatest regret was she didn't manage to bring her parents to the Universal studio. Quite an innocent answer, but it got a big thumb down from netizens.

They did? Oh my bad. But Tin Pei Ling's answer is really funny. :s13:

Because I also didn't manage to bring my parents to Universal Studio or even the Singapore Flyer. :s22:

Yes...Nicole Seah might had overheard or seen the video.

When the reporters posed her the same questions, her reply :
"Wow!! You guys certainly recycle your questions!!!!"

Greatest regret was she didn't manage to bring her parents to the Universal studio reminds me of the typical "World Peace"answers in beauty pageant..

If TPL had added that she's been too busy with the grassroot work that she didn't find the time to bring her parents, the effect may be different.

Memorise from books and solving the question from understanding it.

You get the 2 answers right from this thread.

So do we need to say more? Do you want a MP who memorise from books or a MP who solve your question from understanding the question?

Even taking into consideration that TPL was asked the question first, do you consider that overall, she is more prepared than NS?

to me, nicole looks and sound arrogant and over confident..
to me tpl, cmi..

I'm not sure if she is arrogant or not, but I felt she was very confident, if not a tad too rehearsed.

TPL is weak when compared with her...

But ANYONE in white would be slammed no matter what they say/did not say, do/did not do.

Smooth and polished PAP? "Reading from script, elite, no views of their own" etc.

Fumbling PAP? "This is the potential million dollar minister?"

Smooth and polished Opposition: "Good candidate, eloquent" etc

Fumbling opposition: "Give them a chance, its okay."

To say that we netizens "one eye big, one eye small" would be an understatement! Lol :D
