Hmmm I took a look at the youtube you posted. I don't think she muffed that one. She did not say "costs of education is very low" which I believe you are thinking about, correct if I am wrong. She had stated "the costs of eduction for the young ones is very low". (The person who did that youtube looks to have intentionally left out the words "young ones" in the multiple interposed written words, shame on him or her). For me that meant primarily those in kinder, primary and perhaps some or all of secs. But university education imo is not "young ones". Along that line, personally I found putting my two kids through to mid sec where they are now is low if one looks purely at the costs from the actual schooling (ie minus pre-kinder playskool, extra cram classes or the enrichment classes like that guy asking for subsidy to put his 8yr old through ballet enrichment). For the low-income, they will understandably view the costs as high as they would any costs by dint of their financial situation. A McDonald set meal to us middleclass is costly to them too. A clerk in my wife's company, divorcee with kids, took on second job at McDonalds to get more money and at same time, their dinner was the leftover burgers she would take home after the end of every of her night shift.

But you are right in that she could have added about doing something substantial to helping these poors who find even "low" eucational costs to be a heavy burden.

When it comes to elections, politicians have to be careful with the phrasing of words they using. We made a statement, we have to compare it to the bottom rung to make sure the lower end of the people will be able to connect with. When we say something along the middle class levels, the ones at the lower end will feel outcast and feel they don't get the help they really need.

Although I post videos (but videos not made by me), but I will still put the real message they conveying about.

If I have kids, I wouldn't just want to put them through primary and secondary. I believe a lot of graduates will want their kids to at least have a degree and these paper qualifications are not cheap. Not to forget the pursuit for a comfortable living, better environment are all money.

Sometimes I feel for those people like you said who are holding 2 jobs to feed their children. Although it doesn't happen to me, but I think these people need some form of help at least for those who are in the lower rung. And the govt's role is to help these people. Rich people can take care of themselves.

at least she knows what is a true traffic jam despite ERP
if she can come out with something to reduce traffic jams.. my vote goes to her.

i've one solution. reduce malaysian vehicles. let them pay $1000 per entry. seriously, i dont understand why so many of them come in by their own vehicles when there are so many public transports available.

ERP is the way to go.
Must implement 24 hours per day and don't just stop at 10pm.
Increase ERP to $20 per entry.
Use the profit from ERP to help the poor people. All go to the poor people and don't left some for admin charge.
Rob those can afford car and give to poor people who stay in 1-2 room flat people.

I think the point is that less people will be 'upset' by her joining politics since most know that she probably wont win, so take it as someone young/new trying her hand at it.

But for the case of Tin, people know that regardless of how buay kan she is, she will eventually get into parliment. Thats whats pissing people off.
