Everything is relevant in politics.
Band = uniformed group (discipline, team player), cultured (music).
Continued with the Band during JC = I made the right choice, and knew what I wanted when I first joined back in Sec Sch. I'm dedicated once I've joined something, and will see it though to the 'next level'.
Her other CCAs mentioned were community service, working with delinquents (I can understand what your problem child is going though...), and delivering food to the needy (I've seen the poorest Singaporeans, and spent my time with them).
Etc.
Some of her responses are 'common sense politics' (don't focus on me, focus on the issues I am talking about). She is willing to acknowledge her past, even if it was unbecoming (Yes, I did tweet a vulgarity; wouldn't you?). To connect with the masses (I'm like most of you - from a middle income family. Often eat at coffee shops... and occasionally at a nice place - because that's all I can afford), and to indicate awareness of issues (I have seen the poorest, and I want to help them... You need a voice, and I want to speak for you.)
