Don't wait for IT show... as during IT shows, they are still selling at retail price... just 'give' you alot more useless stuff. If you really want to wait for the price to go down... wait till a new model is out (D8000.... etc)... confirm D7000 will be alot cheaper then. :s13:

Hi, I am looking at a semi-pro DSLR.

Is the Nikon D7000 still a good buy? Any shop to recommend?

Thanks.

Wow the new Nikon D7100 has been announced. Will there be a price drop for the D7000?

I see. I am not aware about the pricing of D90, but the D7000 appeared to have launched at $2299 (SRP), then slowly dropped to $2149 and $1888 over the years. Now it is around $1600 at camera shops.

Just thought that there may be another price revision due to the new D7100. Anyway I'll just wait till D7100 is out in March and see what happens. No urgency to get it.

Looking to sell D7000 to cash out for upgrade to a full-frame. camera has always been kept in dry-box, complete with kit lens and can include a 50mm prime lens.

If interested, please send me a PM to discuss further, thanks!

Techno Gadgets - Your Reliable Source of Photo Equipments

Nikon Digital SLRs - Nikon DSLR with Nikon Lens Kit - Nikon D7100 with 18-105mm VR Lens Kit - Techno Gadgets - Your Reliable Source of Photo Equipments

or if you have the time, wait for Lazada.sg 12/12/2014 sale to see if you could get it even cheaper.

i have lost touch on the current local prices. Have you check out the prices from Funan? Try to PM SLRR from facebook to get latest quotes (for local sets).

thanks bro, I have checked the funan, best price for D7100 is 152x and they provide 150 voucher (137x)

D7100 Technogadget Price: $1268
D7000, Technogadget Price: 1045

The difference 110 (for D7100), so the technogadget one is export model or same quality as local shop? I found they also provides 12-month Locally Serviced Warranty, seems same as those funan shop

I never buy digital staff online, you also buy from there? techno any issue?

Thanks for your time in replying, and sorry for my dump questions :)

1. Export sets are export sets. You want it cheap, you have to take it with a leap of faith

2. Wrong, funan shops (tk foto, slrr) are manufacturer warranty. It is different from what Technogadgets have offered. Do not mixed local sets from export sets.

3. The review from techno are pretty good. You might probably wish to contact them to nego for the prices instead.

The 150 voucher is SHOPPING vouchers, from Takashimaya, it does not REBATE off your camera purchase.

The amount of effort you're putting in to seek the best price, is offsetting the amount you're going to save on purchasing the camera.

Just get it and get over and done with.

Thanks senior bro for replying ... I agree so just want to get one and play with it

So in your opinion, get which one?

1. 2nd hand D7000 with 18-105 kit lens for 800
2. D7100 Technogadget Price: $1268
3. D7000, Technogadget Price: $1045
4. D7100 brand new from Funan, $1520 (voucher 150)

I am new to SLR, just thinking of 1, 2, 4 only, and Technogadget u try before, any issue?

I won't do online shopping for large ticket items. I purchase all my DSLRs and lenses from authorised dealer shops.

I would go for (4). Warranty, can test, can ensure items are working.
