When i saw it last night, it was already $300. Then i saw this 3rd party reseller increase to $319 this morning.

Still have people buy until sold out.

Will use my $76 256gb Mario edition one until 1tb prices go down to a reasonable level from official distributors.

Hogwarts Legacy upgraded to switch 2 ver, don't require cartridge to run. Tested just now.

I bought my set from hongkong ma.

Initially thought 256G is enough

then come one Mario kart world download - takes up close to 30GB internal memory already.

botw and totk free upgrade also.

now I a bit panic and want to plan ahead.

looks like many SG sales outlets (Shopee, Qisahn, iShopChangi etc.) still have stocks of both the MKW bundle and standalone console ... Singaporeans not willing to get it at launch it seems?

Availability is not indicative of sales, just stock.

Artificial scarcity is just a marketing tactic (that Singaporeans always fall for with queues for the fad-of-the-week).

You can easily buy it in the main European markets, yet the sales numbers are historically record-breaking in all of them. Only the top 2 markets (US, Japan) would be considered supply-constrained at the moment.

I agree with you! But from the outset, Nintendo didn't want to engineer any kind of artificial scarcity mainly to deter scalpers. Japan surely witnessed overwhelming demand, as expected, and in the US it appears the less populated states and cities still have some stock albeit diminished. I'm currently based in the UK and it's generally hard to get a hold of one post-launch, while the EU seems to have plentiful stock. HK seems to have a lot of units as well, and we see a lot of that on the gray market. So with SG entering the fray, I'm just tryna get a more nuanced global picture of stock.

Nah..went to collect. The number of ppl in q is long. Even after I collected mine, the q still stay the same. Nintendo produce many stocks for the launch.

Yeah the word is that Nintendo didn't want to have a situation where they don't have enough stock to sell and that the production started way back in Oct last year or even earlier.
