Singapore Nintendo eShop FAQ - All you need to know
Q1. How to access the Singapore Nintendo eShop?
A1. Currently the Singapore Nintendo eShop can only be accessed on the Nintendo Switch 2 / Nintendo Switch console. The region of the Nintendo Account [
https://accounts.nintendo.com/] must be set to Singapore.
For now, it is not possible to purchase or view games off-device.
Q2. Are prices inclusive of GST?
A2. Yes.
Q3. What payment methods are available?
A3. Credit/debit card and PayPal. Currently, Nintendo eShop prepaid cards are not available in Singapore.
Q4. I'm currently using a Nintendo eShop in another country. What happens when I change the account setting to Singapore?
A4. You will still retain all of your purchase history (downloaded games and DLC), so you can still redownload old games.
However, any unused balance (money leftover in your account) will be deleted, so please spend it before changing regions.
If you currently have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you will be asked to disable automatic renewal before changing regions. You can enable it again after the change is complete.
Q5. Why are there so few games available on the Singapore Nintendo eShop?
A5. Software availability is dependent on the publisher. The publisher must release the game in the region in order to offer it for sale.
Q6. Will the game library on the Singapore Nintendo eShop ever catch up to other regions?
A6. It will never be able to catch up because not every publisher will release their games in Southeast Asia for various reasons.
For reference, there are currently 15,144 pieces of digital content offered for sale on the Canada eShop, and 1,655 on the Singapore eShop (11% of the total in Canada).
You can expect more games to be added over the next several months (3 - 6 months), especially those that are popular and successful.
Q7. Are games on the Singapore Nintendo eShop cheaper than other regions?
A7. It depends. Generally speaking, first-party games by Nintendo cost about the same as in the United States inclusive of sales tax. On the other hand, first-party upgrade packs and DLC are cheaper than the US eShop.
As for third-party games and indie games, some may be cheaper and some may be more expensive.

Q8. Can I still use my credit/debit card in regions outside the Singapore Nintendo eShop?
A8. Credit/debit cards issued in Singapore can only be used in the Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines Nintendo eShop.
Q9. I have previously purchased DLC for [insert game here]. Will there be any problems if I change to the Singapore eShop?
A9. Generally speaking, there should be no problems for all first-party games published by Nintendo and most third-party games.
However, there are some games that are released by different publishers in different regions. This means that the same game could have multiple SKUs depending on where the game was released (for example, the Asian version of a game contains Chinese, but the North American version contains English). For such titles, there could be issues with DLC compatibility. It is best to check with the software publisher if you are unsure about this.
Q10. Can I redeem pre-order bonuses in physical games on the Singapore Nintendo eShop?
A10. That will depend on the region of the physical game.
You will be able to redeem download codes for the Southeast Asia region in the Singapore eShop.
Download codes for other regions, such as Hong Kong, Japan, and North America, cannot be redeemed on the Singapore eShop. You can temporarily change your region to redeem the download code as a workaround.
Q11. When will new games launch on the Singapore Nintendo eShop?
A11. New games will launch every Thursday at 12am Singapore time. The next update is on November 20, 2025. Please note that this does not apply to some titles.
