I also have the same concern, if the extension cable (female end) will stay in place in the dock, as the dock has a "spring platform" that reveals more of the usb C male port when pressed down. So unless it is a tight fit, I figured the female port may pop out of the dock, partly due to the spring platform that pops up.

I was thinking of using a piece of folded cardboard and stuff it down into the dock tight enough such that it holds the spring platform down, and then use a cloths peg or bull-dog clip to hold the USB C extension cable in place.

So far docking the switch in the dock works fine for me. But as I intend to get a case with a cover flap (to protect the screen), the whole switch may not fit into the dock when put into the case. Still waiting for the cables to arrive.

Use blue tack will help to solve this issues.

FYI, the front cover I have don't have fitting issue with the dock...

yeah, I was thinking of putting tape or something. But we'll see once my cable arrives.

I know switch will scratch if dock and I had applied screen protector.
May I know will the back of switch and joy con scratch as I seen a lot using case, back cover.

Looking to buy ready stock locally asap.
Any recommendations for this as I'm heading to get sdxc and powerport+5 now.

And any recommendation for stuff to get online oversea?

Appreciate for all suggestion.

so far the "nicest" combo is hard case on 3rd party docks

almost anything that protects the back will be an issue on original dock

I've seen my friend's unit. After normal wear and tear, the matte surface will become darker, smooth and shiny.
