I’m pretty sure the ban is for that console itself.

There are 2 types of ban, the link Pyre posted specifically says it's for that particular game cartridge.

Console ban only affected 3 people as of now and they're all related to developers who sent the wrong data to Nintendo.

Using a banned game cart could get your console banned too.

Following a hacker’s stern warning to Nintendo Switch owners thinking of pirating games, Nintendo has started banning individual certificates of Nintendo Switch Game Cards.

However, it appears that the ban does more than just banning the pirate’s Switch console. If the banned Game Card is used on another Nintendo Switch, the other system will be banned when it goes online, and so on.

This may make the pre-owned market a large minefield, since no one can tell whether a Game Card has been banned by Nintendo. There will definitely be innocent gamers who unknowingly purchase a banned Game Card and get banned.

It's a bloody click bait article, nobody except the 3 homebrew developers have been banned and they weren't even pirating games.
The only other bans are for cheating online, play stupid games win stupid prizes.
I doubt people selling second hand Switch already got banned from an undeveloped homebrew scene, so many paranoid users.

I'll say again, NOBODY has got banned from playing a banned physical cartridge yet or from piracy. The average Switch owner has nothing to be afraid of.

Shopee, shop is shopitree. Had $10 coupon so just use lor. I guessing 470 is still considered expensive but I like the red scheme plus I also want the game anyway.

actually, not really 'expensive' la. you buy a standard console + game + red joy con it won't be this amount already.

i'm actually in similar situation. part of me wants to go for Odyssey bundle (cause I love the game and red joycon) but another part of me is saying go for standard set first.

However, If i go for latter, very likely i will pay more in total.

It really is not that expensive to get the bundle. It's probably 10-20 bucks difference so why wait?

Buy bundle or buy non bundle almost the same.. expensive also expensive by like 50 plus dollar.. just enjoy the game.. ytd I saw a game called dragon quest builder.. like quite fun

Qoo10 no cheap set.. all over priced.. if use coupon the price almost similar to lazada or shopee..

Unless hoot the export set.. 35x plus the 30 dollar discount only 32x

That doesn't even apply to his case, you need to buy a license and physical equipment to even pirate stuff on the Switch now.

MHXX is Japanese game, $45
Wizard is $20.
Pokemon Quest is free.
Stardew is $10.
BeatSport is $15.
Overcooked is $26.
Zelda is $60.
Hard case is $5 from Taobao.

$500 - $181 = $319, cheaper than the recently priced brand new set around $360-$370. XX is really worthless now that the English version GU is coming out end August.

The switch feels... Really small in my hands. It's like the Note 8 is bigger.
