Point is paid PS+ is not the ONLY way to backup your save files. You can simply plug in any USB storage device to copy/restore.
This.

I'm think it's fair to pay for cloud save, since as I've mentioned. Money is needed to maintain the server.

But it is not right to not give consumer the option to do a local backup.

Anyone subscribed to Switch Online, which region did you subscribed to, and can you still switch your region to access other e-shops?

Tried and tested, signed up for family membership in US Region, had to disable auto-renewal before i can change my region to somewhere else, was able to change it to Japan and bought Thumper that's on sale from the Japan eshop.

Exactly. And while it is easy for people in Singapore to be perpetually connected to internet, other countries may not be so lucky. From usability standpoint, they should really have given us some level of offline backup function.

my pro controller left analog stick has a drifting problem. seems like its a common problem to pro controllers and joycon.

i emailed maxsoft but they didnt reply. the pro controller is not cheap and we are not supported by our local distributor.

does anyone know how to repair this? would appreciate your help thanks!

Probably those el cheapo AC1189/XCSOURCE controllers could work much more reliably and lasting than the original Nintendo ones.

I guess Nintendo intentionally engineered these controllers so that they malfunction easily and so that people will need to keep buying from them again or pay for a servicing fee. Not to mention that their warranty period only 3 months.. P

It's better you leave if you can't afford SGD$6.15 a year :)

It's not just the price that is pissing people off.

It's the standard of the service IMO.

It's really in a bad state, I also don't want to pay for it not that I cannot afford it, but I can just enjoy the single player games.

I would gladly pay more if it was as good as either PS or XBOX online functions.

Did they say how much space is available for cloud save?

Previous PS+ was 1GB only and I kept running out of space, had to delete files from cloud save and turn off auto-upload. Then they increased to 10GB so now I am ok. But for gamers who play a lot of games (or play games with huge save files), the size limit is still important.

Because the saves are stored in Switch's internal memory and cannot be copied out to the SD Card, so if your Switch spoils or can no longer start up, without cloud save, all your progress is lost.

If you have cloud save, at least when you get a replacement Switch, you can restore your saves and progress.
