When splatoon 2 english version goes live?

We know it's launching on 21st July which is now for us but in the US it'll be at least 12noon our time for them to be 21st.

BTW, there should be 3 regions available for Splatoon 2.

North America
Europe/Oceania
Japan

Each region have their own Splatfest timings and the battle options could be unique to that region so choose well which region you buy from.

Are players separated based on region of the game? I heard it's based on region of the account - Japan accounts can only play with Japan accounts, follow Japan timings etc. It doesn't matter which region version of the game you bought, you can play together if your account regions match. Is there definite answer on which is the case? (Or is it by IP address?)

Splatoon 2 does not come with multi language option unlike other games such as Mario/Zelda. Even if you change your Switch account to Japan.. Your US Splatoon 2 will still be played like a US copy and will not display text in Japanese or played like the Japan copy. Dont see how we can use a US copy to play with the Japanese unless they allow cross region multiplayer (for eg US vs Jap).
