Did you update the firmware on your 8bitdo? The Xbox controller only will work for updated firmware.
Download the firmware files at their website.
Press the button on top, connect to your PC USB and the program should detect.

Dunno why i also not able to update the firmware too. Alrdy follow instruction to press the button and plug into PC usb port. Maybe tonight go back and try again. Btw when u said the program should detect, what is this program?

I do recommend getting your Switch with a warranty though since there are more separate parts as compared to their predecessors. I got mine with warranty as I didn't wanna take a gamble this time and thank goodness I did.

1) Right joy-con making weird rattling noises when it vibrates (macam shaver), battery depletion rate faster than other joy-con. Sometimes shows incrorrect status when I slid back into the console (e.g. says I'm charging that joy-con when I'm not). It bothers me as the left joy-con is not that bad and hence there is a comparison there. If both sounded like shavers I have nothing to say.
2) After charging for 3h+ attached to console, both joy-cons' battery level did not go beyond 3/4 lvl.

Highly unlikely, usually for gaming the focus is on PC gaming rather than console.
