The warranty for the joycon that comes with the console is how long?

Actually I feel that the interim solution by nintendo does not work so well. If the line of sight from the left joy con to the Switch is blocked even just a tissue box, sometimes will affect the signal also. Mine is like die die must have clear line of sight if not might get the random drifting issue. Luckily I have the pro controller to play in TV console mode.

Drifting shouldn't be caused by signal obstruction though, if there is, it should be like you moving in a direction suddenly stop.

Drifting is mostly caused by the analog sensor mistakenly think the stick is shifted, due to dust (it seems to be).

Best way to test is to go to settings, controller calibration and see if the stick pointer will move on it's one out of axis.

I play on portable mostly coz docked the console gets really hot.i see YouTube ppl posting their console warped sia.

My new red joycons are working fine atm. Finally started playing octopath traveler, bought for a week but didn't play.

What games you bros playing now?

I still enjoying botw...Xenoblade 2 just started abit then haven continue yet, Mario odyssey haven start..Thinking of getting octopath next..

3 months.

Wow.. this is ridiculously short period, as if they already knew for sure some issue will occur very soon.. my PS4 dual shock controllers have been working for at least 3 years without any problems except for some creeking sound on the trigger buttons.. On the other hand, my Switch joycon which is just half years old already having some bad drifting issues with the analogue stick.. its unfortunate that these joycons appears to be designed to fail, and yet priced so expensive..

it could be controller losing signal...

try update your joycon FW as nintendo strengthened the signal in a fw patch

Once u get advanced job warmaster you will be wrecking havoc. Only the big dire wolf and post game boss will pose a threat to you.

me too! i am entering the 50-hour mark and honestly, I was never into JRPG but there's something about Octopath that just keeps me going
