I don't have the Lite yet but I own a Gen 1 Switch and purchased it a few months after release - a Joycons started drifting after 6 months or so.
I still plan to get the Lite (after prices stabilizes), the drift issue is sure a hassle but it is what it is - for now. So for peace of mind, get a unit with Maxsoft warranty.

but if joycon is already an issue, wouldn't switch lite be worse?
analog drift must send whole console back even if under warranty..
that's the worrisome part for me
