Hi all a new switch owner here. Can someone enlighten me on how digital game copy works?

I understand that first you need to have a micro sd card as the game will be downloaded onto it and the storage will be used up quickly. Then from what I read you can change regions to download the digital copy from whichever region is cheapest and having sales.
Can I ask how is the digital licence tracked? To the Nintendo eShop account or to the micro sd card or something else? If the micro sd card dies what happens?

Also, is the saved game data always saved on the switch storage even if you have a micro sd card inserted?

Really clueless would really appreciate if someone can enlighten thanks. :)

1) You can buy digital copies of games using the eshop. But make sure you set your nintendo account to canada or US region then u can access the eshop.

2) using your nintendo switch to activate nintendo online (similar to PSN on ps4) gives u free 7 days trial. You need this if you wish to play online with others.

3) buy diablo 3. Best game.

4) super mario games and overcooked is only fun when u have friends play tgt. Solo play like lack that stupidity spark.

Wasn't there articles mentioning that certain 3rd party docks and power banks may brick the nintendo switch ?

I've got a Aukey PB-XD10 10050mAh with USB-C Power Delivery and Quick Charge 3.0 but quite hesitant about plugging in....

Do you advise that the switch must be off to charge using charger/ powerbanks ?
I do charge while playing using my powerbank at times
But if urs has no PD then u should only charge while in sleep mode

Thanks for the heads up guys, I'm relatively new to this especially when reading such news, the word bricking can be quite sensitive.
