Just curious, how many of you switch owners actually use your 1 year warranty? Thinking of getting an export set so warranty is gonna be a big issue

Bought my Nintendo switch from Amazon US during launch (the batch that was stuck at custom due to battery regulation, eventually cleared custom). No issue with it for the past 2.5 yrs.
Gotten another switch for my boy beginning of this yr from Qoo10 (Korean set). Also no issue.

Sent from Xiaomi MI PAD 4 using GAGT

never had a problem

tbh the only issues you might face is the joy con calibration
it's unlikely you will find physical defects and its even more unlikely that you will get a switch that cant turn on....

Looking around for a full dock replacement that is more portable. Came across some options from Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and Dobe. Any comments?

There are too many uncertainties when it comes to 3rd party docks. I got those shell where you need to remove the components of the original dock and move them.

i have just pledge for the genki covert dock

i think the main difference between the genki covert and the jumpgate + the dobe's dock + the shell is, the charger is included with the genki covert, and you can also output your screen from your other devices to the TV.

I think I didn't explain why I went for the shell. It is because there is a possibility of bricking my switch when using a third party dock in dock mode.

I originally wanted to get the jumpgate (during their kickstarter after I already got the shell and installed the original switch dock parts inside) because it can display on the nintendo switch screen while the dock is not connected to a HDMI output and it can be used as a USB C hub with a laptop. I cancelled my support when I saw this video:

The same YouTube also made a more recent video on the same topic:

Maxsoft not honouring warranty for Joy-con

Hi anybody facing this problem from Maxsoft? I have a Joy Con having drifting issue and within warranty. Bought from Lazada with warranty (higher price than those export sets).

However when I emailed Adrian he said need to bring the packaging box over. ?! Who keeps the box after opening? From his tone, he looks like his is going to evade the warranty repair for my joy con. Is there anything we can do?

All these claims from Nintendo saying will fix our joy cons for free even out of warranty but these local distributors are doing otherwise.

that is what i've been told when i buy the joy con at the gameshop. they told me to keep the box for warranty purpose.

by right Maxsoft should put sticker on the box to tell us to keep the box like what Sandisk do with their SSD.
