Zelda will never go out of stocks one, coz there is digital copy. Unless you want the case and the cartridge.

I see no point in owning hard copy of games. Unless you wanna recoup by selling it later. And Nintendo hasn't really spoken on the drm of games.

On the contrary, i see no point in owning digital games, unless:
1. They are much cheaper
2. There is no choice (eg steam games)

Reselling is the main reason for owning physical games, as i usually dont replay them after im done with it.

So...

To charge the Switch (main unit, with screen):
- When not docked, via USB type C connector (using external battery bank etc)
- When docked, via the dock itself (connected thru the same USB type C)

To charge the Joy-Cons:
- When attached to the Switch, the Switch charges it
- When not attached to the Switch (Switch is docked or in desktop mode), have to (buy and) use the Charging Grip. However this only works if you are using both joy-cons together (single player).
- When not attached to the Switch and in two player mode (each player holds one joy-con)... no way to charge!!

To charge the Charging Grip:
- Not sure, the grip probably has a USB type C?

Wii launched at 600+ in Singapore and was 199USD elsewhere :)

If they jack up price I will import myself lol no warranty also nvm because I can buy two of it haha

I seriously dont know Wii was so costly back then. People who want to play as soon as it is launched will need to pay the high price. Haha.

That would be insane if the same happens to Switch. Then I probably won't be pre ordering locally. Get travelling friends to help!

I don't suppose you can ship direct to Singapore. If you use a forwarder, there will be sales tax of 8% and shipping charges to Singapore as well as GST. It'll be almost the same amount as from Amazon.

I guess how I will be charging the Joy-cons when not in use is to reattach it to the docked Switch.

USB Type C, I've been using it since Oct 2015 with my Nexus 5X, I don't see an issue with Nintendo choosing it over microUSB, guess it's to future-proof. More and more flagship smartphones and laptops/motherboards will have USB C this year.

The charging grip has a usb type C socket, that's how you charge it.

Those extra accessories are not compulsory mah. Can don't buy. Just like the PS VR you can don't buy the move controllers. That's what people tell me.

Controllers battery last 20 hours I highly doubt you need a charging grip unless you have more than 2 joy con
