Hmm i dont think shipping will goes up to $100 since the switch isnt that heavy? I'm expecting $30+?

Currently a jap set cost around 36000yen (SGD$477) and lets say shipping cost SGD$100 and 7% GST which add up to a total of around $630+.

If the final local bundle retail price cost SGD$699 as I mention way very early ago in this forum, in actual fact there's no saving to import from Japan unless free shipping, best to ownself buy in japan get tax refund and tourist 8% rebate at Bic Camera.

Not to forget jap import set SGD$630 is without any game and no warranty
Local set SGD$699 comes with Zelda and 1,2 switch and warranty

End of the day you decide yourself

It's back for pre order on Amazon Japan. 31568 Yen after shipping. No taxes because it's just below SGD$400!

Yea resellers hence prices are higher than the 32378 yen (Japan sales tax of 8% included). So if you really want a Japanese set, just wait for Amazon Japan to restock or you know someone going there.

If you're buying over Amazon Japan and shipping it out of Japan, the Japanese sales tax is not applied hence it will be 29980 yen + shipping costs + any applicable import tax (gst in our case if total cost is over SGD$400).

If a tourist were to buy it in Japan, they can claim for the tax refund so automatically you will only be charged 29980 yen.

The Switch is, by far the easiest and most programmer friendly so far,” he said. “I know this sounds like lip service to Nintendo, but it’s actually not. If this wasn’t true, we wouldn’t be able to get these games up and running as quickly as we have, and we wouldn’t be able to have a launch title. It’s light years ahead of what we were doing with Wii U.”

Another effective technique was to unify their games across multiple platforms, further decreasing porting time. Achievements, for example.

“We put in hooks in ... so that the code will work on any platform,” Rodriguez said. “So, for example, if there was a console that didn’t have achievements, you can’t have achievements on those games. But in the case of Isaac, we built the achievements right into the game.” (Rodriguez is still under NDA with Nintendo until the Switch launches, and apologized for the need to remain vague regarding Switch functionality.)

no achievements confirmed?

or is it possible to have a NDA over something that doesn't exist?

Nintendo games all along don't have achievements 1 ma..
yup.

but modern gaming platforms already made achievements an auto included feature.

and Switch is promoted as a social console.

now that comes the problem. local co-op games. doubt the console allows multiple accounts signed in.

do you guys think the xiaomi pro power bank will work with the switch?

http://www.mi.com/sg/pb10000pro/

not sure how many volt is needed for charging via USB-C....

You need to read a couple of pages back. I linked to info of the charger's specs and the unit's ratings.

I think achievements are not important. I'll rather they do not have such a system. Going by what is said, it would imply that the system does not support it.

It is possible to have an NDA on that if he were to say it not as an example, it would confirm that there isn't an achievement system in place which would leak the capabilities of the system.

She generally reviews smartphones and is very meticulous and detail oriented. This is a good example of how Nintendo doesn't have good quality control. Good luck to those getting your Switches.
