Maybe for the games, we can consolidate our orders and get from Amazon Jp? So we can share the shipping cost. Hopefully the console is just below $400.

why buy 1 console buy until so xinku?

really recession?

Because it is supposed to be $300. The experience Nintendo want us to experience is $300. We are charged S$569 for console only I think. Is bu shuang. If they charge whole world flat price $300, all guai guai buy liao.

Guys, don't forget to buy big and fast micro SD card also :s13:. Switch is loading games from the card, better be fast, like class 10. Note that some cards are slower for higher capacity, some are slower for medium capacity but faster for higher. Got to read the specs and check for reviews.

Be careful of fake cards, there are a lot of cards with actual capacity like 8GB but modded to report 128GB and sold as 128GB (the card will get corrupted when you write beyond 8GB) and they just label as class 10 when it's class 6. Get reputable brand from reputable store. Test it with h2testw (which reports capacity and read/write speed).

Because my console will only reach on 5th or 6th March, so I'm fine with waiting. Besides that, I can also get accessories too. Anyone who's keen on this pls PM me to discuss!

Any recommendation on size to get?

While we know there is "no region lock", taken on the surface this only means you can buy a game from Japan and play it on console from another region (or in this case console from Japan if you are getting from Amazon JP). That's just game region and console region, which presumably has no lock.

But what about your account region? It's not known whether you need to use a Japan region account to play a Japan region game (on a US region console). If you already have a US or Canada account (from 3DS etc), will US/Canada account be getting patches for a Japan region game? Will you be able to buy DLCs/expansions meant for a Japan region game from the US eshop? Are DLC region compatible globally or must they match the game region?

There are still a lot of unknowns, better not take unnecessary risks yet.

can always create multiple account mah. Use Jap account for Jap games and US account for US games. Nintendo no achievement or platinum trophies etc..dont need to stick to 1 account.

Depends whether you are going to buy games on physical cards or digital download. Don't know how big the games are but since the architecture is similar to other consoles (thus they said it's easier to port), the size should be similar. On the PS4 a AAA game typically takes 20GB or even 30GB. (I think the IGN video on leaked specs mentioned the max capacity of the physical Switch game cards is 32GB.)

Of cos if you are getting physical games then for game saves won't need too big. But we still don't know if it has video capturing function, which takes space too. And there will be demos to download, etc. Another unknown is what if you need to upgrade to bigger card, what's the process, do you lose everything (including save files) or is there a migration tool? Or can you use multiple microSD cards and keep swapping (maybe one for each account, or a few downloaded games on each). Without knowing the details it better to start bigger rather than smaller. I would think 128GB is a sweet spot too.

There is no details about sharing among accounts yet, for example if you are playing using JP account, do you need that same JP account to subscribe to paid membership to play online? If your US account has membership is that shared with the JP account?

From a game developer interview, it seems there will be achievements/trophies. That guy said it's very easy to port the trophy checks in his game over to Switch cos he just need to program in the hooks and it will work on different consoles, then later he like realised he accidentally revealed something so he said he cannot comment on trophies.

Hmm seems like the 32gb onboard memory won't be used much since we have hard copy Zelda. Maybe it is better to buy the expansion card when we know more about it.
