I think wired controller is dangerous and this is especially true for the Switch. Someone tried using the Pro Switch controller with the wire attached and the whole dock moved easily with just a light tug. The Switch itself is light and might topple if u pull too hard. Wait screen crack GG

What is the best region to set the switch for? USA?

They have regional pricing. For 3DS, Canada and Brazil used to be the cheapest. If we can still can choose Canada..then i think its best to go for that.

Just want to add on that you may be disappointed with the graphics if you don't fancy NES/SNES esque games.

It is an awesome game and a mash up of iconic parts of nostalgia Nintendo games, like Duck Tales, Castlevania, Mega Man, Mario etc also with its original ideas. A great tribute.

I bought it on PS4 and I'm at the final level, certain parts are challenging but not to the point of almost impossible.

Switch is meant to be sold worldwide. Since Nintendo is selling this to us (Singaporean) officially on 3rd March (SG time), then yes we can update on 3rd.

Actually Nintendo is NOT selling this to us (Singaporeans) at all, Maxsoft is. Singapore is not a Switch launch country, it's not even a recognised country by Nintendo, and Asia is not a Nintendo region (the Switch has no option for Asia region), so it can't be based on our region/country.

A bigger question is whether the Switch will have one single unified firmware or multiple, one for each region? Cos the Switch may have to cater to the Japanese convention (O=ok, X=quit) and US convention (O=quit, X=ok) differently. It is possible that a single firmware can handle both, based on the region (ps4 does that). But wait, based on the region of what? Region of the console as set at the factory, region of the console as set by user upon first set up, region of the account logged in when firmware update is initiated? If you sign in a Japan account will you get the update half a day earlier than the US? No one knows.

Anyway, Singaporeans should definitely be getting the update on Mar 3, anytime within the 24 hrs period, regardless its done based on Japan time or US time

Actually we are part of the launch country. Singapore is getting the ASI version of Switch. Maxsoft is the official distributor here and Nintendo is selling the switch through them. If u look at some of upcoming game like Zelda Switch ... Singapore will be getting the ASI version and not the US version. Some ASI 3ds games have the singapore/Malaysia logo printed on the cover too. Nintendo did not set up their eShop here because they simply can't be bothered.

Yup. If they want to charge SG$, they need to obey our local taxation laws here. For such a small market like SG, why bother to setup their eshop for that?
