doesn't make sense to me that joycon will not charge when attached to the switch console connected to a powerbank via usb-C. when placed in the dock, it is also charged using the usb-C port. so what's the difference between charging with a powerbank and dock when they both use the same port? unless the joycon is smart enough to tell them apart or a difference of voltage provided by the reviewers crappy powerbank.

An audience member asked, if in the situation that he bought a second Switch for his kids, whether he'd be able to buy digital games from the eShop once, and have them playable on both systems.

"Currently we don't have a system like that in place for Nintendo Switch," Takahashi said via a translator, "but we haven't made any final decisions about how we would approach that going forward in the future, so unfortunately I can't provide any concrete answer for you right now."

Exactly. When docked it is charged using usb c via ac charger. So y when it is handheld mode y it is not charging. The other question is how long is the ac charger?

Don't even know if you bought a digital game from eshop, can your kids play it on the same Switch using their own accounts instead of yours.
they have the parental thing thought out. will have to see.

unless you are a parent, if not you probably won't care.

to me it all sound like people jus wanna save money by sharing games around. Nintendo (and most publishers) does't like that.

in fact 1 copy of the game can be shared with fellow Switch owners during local coop.

They can adopt steam family sharing style. Once an account is playing an eShop game, this similar shared account can't play any eShop game but still can play game using game cart on another switch console.

Oh ya there's the child account thing. If the kids have they own accounts that are officially set up under a parent's account, I guess no issue, the kids should be able to play digital game the parent bought, using the kids' own accounts. That's a guess only, it's the logical thing to do. But the parental thing (including limiting the number of hours the kids can play) could also be unrelated. Parental control is set such that a kid, using his own account, will not be able to play an M rated game, for example, not necessarily indicating sharing of games within the family is allowed.

The bigger question is sharing among adult accounts (no parent-child relationship) on the same Switch. These could be accounts owned by the same person, but he has 1 account in each region, a very common scenario I would think. Or imagine if a child account can play digital games owned by a parent, but when he turns 18 and the parent upgrades the kid's account to adult account (assuming there is such upgrade function), the kid loses access to the parent's games. Doesn't make sense. So there should be sharing allowed among adult accounts (guess only). Well, will know soon.

btw, I don't believe they have not decided yet about sharing on separate switch consoles. Surely nintendo had to tell the other publishers about it already.

Hi guy, didn't seems to see any confirmation on whether the switch can be charged using a normal power bank we are using to charge our mobile phones on the go?

Will the switch charge on 5v power bank?
